So I had the dreaded vat leak, and a fair bit of resin cured between the LCD and acrylic underneath (the little circles are where there is no resin). I managed to slice off the LCD but I think the acrylic is done for. Any tips on removing it? Seems very well stuck on! Also any sources for replacement acrylic in the UK? Thanks!

So I just got my photon yesterday and went through the process of setting everything up and leveling etc. I have tried 3 prints now but every time there is nothing on the build plate. One time there was a small circle stuck to the bottom of the resin vat (printing a hero forge mini so probably the base) but nothing more than that. It takes about 3 hours before I can even see if the print is failing or not so I am starting to get a little frustrated. Any tips on what might be happening and how I can get a successful print?

EDIT: wow I did not expect so many replies fast. Thank you all. Hopefully my next post will be a success story!

So, I was trying out Grey Hero 3D printing resin. Printing out a model with multiple smallish parts (too small to hollow). First batch came out great, second batch looked good but after curing (both with LED and sunlight) some pieces are sticky. I cleaned both groups the same (IPA and a wash) after printing.
Print setting for each group where the same. Any idea why the one would still be sticky? I should say they have probably a total of 10 hours cure time at this point.

New to the group. Have a tip. When using Rhino 6 to make models for anycubic photon s, if you have mirrored something, the mirrored part (not the original) will show as black in the slicing program and you will not be able to add supports to it. After 28 attempts, I finally decided to simply copy and paste the part and rotated it 180 degrees and put it where it needed to go. Problem solved. Hopefully this helps someone who has run into this issue or will run into this issue in the future.

Using the Photon for a while now and honestly I am very pleased. Still some good work to do for fixing some issues that sometimes happen but hey, still learning.

Thanks for all the good tips internet friends.

Hello, thanks everyone for existing!

So i'm completely new to this but tried to get greedy with how many items i could print at one time. I have about 9 models on my plate. Only 4 printed well. Can anyone advise why the models go unprinted or the big one has shift. This is the second attempt and only the couch skeletons print.

Their is much i don't know so any tips are welcome.

Hi guys, how often you replacing lcd on classic photon (not S) ? I think that after 5-6 months is too soon, but have no other tip why i print models with holes like that. Of course I see some "spots" while "UV test" :/

So thought I would share this tip with everyone. I started a print that chitubox says is 72.4ml and added exactly 100ml to the vat. This is what was left and came to 15ml. I can maybe account for 5ml loss for transferring during measure. So that is 12.6ml missing. I will be watching this to try and find an average and will post my results. Hope this helps... ?
