My first multipart print. Still needs some work, I'm having trouble gluing parts together and some support rafts stick/print to the base of the model.

After a year of ownership I want to share my experience with USB errors. First, let me say it's not always easy to attribute print issues to the USB stick, but at least the newer firmware versions will tell you if there's a mid-print USB error. Even then it might be the power supply. The first thing I did when these errors were commonplace was replace the power supply with a better one, and remove the USB extension cable to plug the stick directly into the motherboard. They continued, although less frequently, so I experimented with different USB sticks and my tin foil tells me smaller (4gb or less) sticks work better. Furthermore I stopped placing multiple files on the stick, and kept the single file name on it to a relatively short length. I also shut down my printer after every print for at least 3 minutes. Errors were much reduced but still occurred. Along came newer versions of firmware which were sometimes successful in letting me continue a print after a declared USB error. My latest move has been to reformat the USB stick every time before putting a new file on it. I haven't had a USB error since. If you're having USB or possible USB errors maybe some of these tricks will help you too.

Amazon saw fit to deliver a bottle of the Elegoo Red-Opaque rather than the Red-Translucent -- Anyone used the opaque before? Any tips would be appreciated.

Ugh. Last night I had a print going overnight for 9 hours to wake up and hear “beep beep beep” and print at 92% complete... T_88 error... reboot try to re print = T_100 error.. looks like I need to open machine up and check cable? I didn’t install any new firmware etc (including recent AA thing).. going to look this afternoon if machine shipped with appropriate size Allen screw or whatever to open the bottom up and check the lcd ribbon connection. When running the UV test instead of getting a strip of light around screen the entire screen lights up? Any tips would be greatly appreciated. I’ve only had my machine for 2 months or so and haven’t used it a whole heck of a lot since. Was about to message support before moving on further

The Anycubic Photon has helped me build some amazing cars recently, one of which is this: a custom 1/64 Dodge Charger with 21 LEDs. The rear traffic advisor housing, spotlight housing, spotlight lense, antennas, ALPR system, and push bumper were all printed. Before I had my printer, I really struggled to put multiple LEDs next to each other and keep them straight. I honestly never thought I would be able to have such detailed custom parts on a build, but boy was I wrong.

So I've been using different slicers and I struggle hard with support placement. And it's not about where to supports its that I literally can't place them.

I see an island, E. G. The fist of a miniature floating around. After auto supports I try to add thin supports to the fingertips but when I click nothing happens. I've been using the anycubic slicer and chitubox - both gave me the problem. I'll update with a photo asap after restarting my pc.

Had an issue come up with the slicer. For some odd reason a file I sliced with it had where there was nothing the first two layers then it finally started on layer 3. Caused half the prints to fail. Anyone else have this issue?

For the record same model just multiple times. No clue why four out of ten actually adhered to the build plate but still puzzled.

We bought an Anycubic Photos from Amazon. The jump drive came with the Anycubic Photo Slicer 64. We seem to have a real problem with the slicer corrupting files when we open multiple files to create one print project. Upon slicing, the program drops the raft below the level of the platform, so the prints fail because it never prints the raft, only starts with the supports, and once the actual items start to print suction pulls them right off. Any advice?

Could anyone recommend me a good sandpaper or file for hard to reach pieces of supports that stayed in the model? Also some tips or tricks if you have some

Thank you in advance!
