I would like to know wich source of UV light you use to cure your printings. I use the sun but i would like to create some kind of lightbox, if you have any suggestions, show me your setup :)

Hi everyone this is a great group. I did a great first print on my new machine. I did a second print and got some whiting on the print. Has anyone got any suggestions to what it is. I believe I cleaned and cured ok with my uv lamp.

Curing in water! I think I have it. So this is what I’ve been doing lately and curing is much faster and no tacky effect post curing. also helps prevent warping from the UV heating the resin.
Wash in alcohol
Airbrush off what will come off.
Wash in water.
Airbrush dry
Cure for 30sec under UV
Place in water bath and cure until finished.
The secret is in curing for a short duration prior to placing in water bath. That means you can use tap water for the curing bath as the outer layer of resin is cured and doesn’t react with anything, no mineral deposits or white mineralization.
The resin really does cure much faster underwater (o2 prevents the resin curing), and the finished product is smooth, no marks and ready for paint and display.
Picture of a 1:160 paddock ripper, those tines are actually sharp!

Made the plunge and bought a Photon. Probably somewhere in this group it has been asked, but...
This is what I have gleaned reading posts here about pre-print set up, but what are the steps to post processing your prints (7 and up)?
1. Shake your resin
2. Shake it some more.
3. Pour into vat, but not too much.
4. Wait for bubbles to pop.
5. Hit 'Go!' on your model.
6. Wait
7.
I know there is the UV curing, the IPA/RA cleaning, the storing of unused resin, etc, but what order does this all happen in and how/why is it done?

Hi, all you 3d printing veterans. It's been great reading through and getting a sense of the anycubic line and what to expect.

Flash sale on amazon.ca today with the hype I was getting on here. I'll get my first printer(non S photon) Monday.

Just 2 quick questions.

1:) Is the anycubic green resin a decent balance between quality/budget/first-timer-friendly

B, is it best to build a curing solution out of UV led tape lighting or that Chinese nail-curing station that I see people using?

Thanks for being inclusive and a great community.

Hi Everyone i just ordered the Original photon and have A few questions ?

1. Anyone tried to change uv light source to something that gives more light / spread the up light more ?

2. Is the filtering fan doing anything good and is that the only part making lost of noise on the printer ?

3. Is the z axis mod with linear rails worth it ?

Thanks ?

Question regarding post-print UV curing.
If I can still smell the resin would the prints be under-cured?
If they are quite brittle/weak how do I know if they need to be cured more or less? (I know of the nail test, but I'm not sure that it wouldn't also happen if I burnt the print with the UV light)
Thanks

I'm working on a highly flexible UV resin for MakerJuice and I'd like to get some feedback on it. It's very stretchy and could make some very interesting parts; however, I don't know how well it will print supports given how much it stretches and flexes. Here's a couple videos of a part printed with this prototype resin. What does the group think of this prototype? Would it be of interest or is it too flexible?

Ok here is a pic of the uv leds inside the bucket I built for a curing light. Easy build. Use tape uv leds was $19.99 off amazon, I had the bucket. This is the one I used it came with the power supply. It doesnt need to be the water proof type so shop to find what will work best for you. It takes about 10mins to cure a mini. Note hitech clear support in center :)
