Anycubic Photon Printer Owners 造訪社團 » UV

Hi all. I’m currently in the process of building an enclosure that powers the printer, heater, white leds for working on printer and eventually the top section will have UV leds and be used as a curing chamber ... I have it all running from a 30a 12v PSU. I get a weird whine but only in certain situations. If the heater is on a heating cycle and I press pause on the printer, as soon as the heating cycle finishes , it whines. If the heater is off and I turn on the white lights, I get a whine. Would this be coil whine from the PSU or feedback from the printer itself. Thanks in advance. ( and for the people who suggest a heater isn’t needed, mine is in a garage that has repeatedly been in the minus Celsius over the last few months)

Hey guys. How important is it to do that extra cure? I am painting all my minis and there are a few that I didn't cure yet (I didn't have time). They aren't sticky or tacky but feel a bit rubbery. I used ToAuto white for these. I don't have UV light here, and it's raining outside so I can't use the sun. If it's covered in paint does it really matter?

So after printing successfully all week, last night I turned in a 9hour print, as I am always hesitant, I set an alarm to check on it about 3 hours in...when I got up there was nothing at all on the build plate, so of course I stopped it and started to clean it out assuming there would be a large hefty boy on the Fep... but there wasn't, nothing at all on the fep either... What would you guys say would be the cause? I was like oh no, was the file 'floating or something?' Not from what I see. or maybe the LCD came loose nope, turned on a exposure test just to see if the UV came on and it did... I'm genuinely confused. Picture is to shoe the file.

It is possible that two Photon Printer has differend power od UV light?

I wonder, coz iv'e got two different prints (one perfect and 2nd always fail) from the same slicing file...

Resin, Settings, Firmware, Room temperature Usb Flash Drive the same... Why one printer fail and 2nd do job perfectly?

Prints are flat on Baseplate. New printer always split prints. Spliting is always between bottom layers (60s) and mine layers (10s) or dont stuck to the baseplate correctly, usualy left and right sides dont stick properly (sides are lift up).

I try releveling 6 times and im sure its ok. Any idea?

Hi, Guys, sorry to ask, but is there anyone here who doesn't have separated room for 3d resin printing, especially if there's no closed room to be free from uv light from external source (sun etc)? What do you do about this? Will covering the printer with something black or with a big space box do the trick?

Also about the resin fume, would it by installing internal printer exhaust and direct it to the outside window do take care this problem?

Thank you before hand

Ive been having issues lately with prints not stixking to the buildplate and have tried all sorts of solutions. I was levelling the plate using the flint read method earlier and noticed a grinding noise well before the plate hit the fep. I found this was due to the bracket that connects the build plate to the z axis is hitting the wall of the vat. This means it is impossible for me to complete the flint read plate level and it appears my plate will be stopped by the vat wall before it can properly press the resin to the uv light. Has anyone else experienced this or have any idea how to fix this?

My photon started acting weird again. Not sure what to do. Been printing 24hrs a day for months and months now. it sat idle for weekend, came back started up prints again and whammy!

the fails are on every print now depsite what file im printing. the fails are not isolated to a specific spot on the plate. not sure how to check the UV source other than the test on the main display. i have a nice rectangle test.

ive put in a new fep, even though it was barely cloudy and still seem very tight. re-leveled like 10x. no other changes.

I do hear some new noises or its just because the fails are triggering my brain. it seems like one of the fans has a different running freq now, than what im used to hearing.

Z axis screw was fairly black, i cleaned it up good and re-greased with the stuff from the upgrade kit.

Hi all, thanks for the acceptance to the group.

So, I'm a total noob at the 3D lark but I bit the bullet and scored a Photon LCD which arrived today. Everything seems okay; UV Test appears fine, levelled the plate using the Flint Method etc. Can't do a Test Print yet as awaiting cleaning stock from eBay and the machine is @ -1000 C cos it's bloody cold out.

USB Stick was DOA. Well, the Photon saw it but the PC? It killed two of the USB slots on the PC but a reboot sorted that.

I have another USB stick that I've FAT32 formatted and D/L'ed then C&P'ed the Sticky Files (File_English_Photon.Rar - version 1) your page recommended into it.

Now, the Q's: From Anycubic.com I D/L'ed & installed "Workshop V2.1.20" and from the sticky I installed "Slicer64". What's the difference between the two? Are they the same sort of thing or what? Do either of them do what Tinkercad does?

I also note that my Photon is Firmware V4.2.17 - do I need to update it?

Thanks, Neal x

My LCD screen appears to be broken, it's got long lines across the screen while performing the uv exposure test. Tried reseating the cable, but no luck. Could I try something else or should I replace the screen? Any help would be appreciated!
