Water rinse for the win on anycubic clear resin for sure.. everything else seems to yellow badly

W: Water with uv cure (good)
A: alcohol with uv cure (bad)
Blank: is no cleaning and uv cure. (Horrible)

Add a coat of automotive clear paint to further uv protect and good to go. ? ?

Models I printed 2 days ago started cracking. I read this is due to uncured resin inside that is expanding. There is already a drain hole but it looks like it fused closed when i was curing under a UV light. Thoughts? TIA

hi , we have a porblem :after printing finich we find tat resine flow over LCD screen and cured parts over screen the vat not punctured. we don't encetred this issu before

J'ai un problème : apres la fin de l'impression je trouve que le resine coule sur l'écran et qulelques parties sèches sur l'écran , le VAT n'est pas troué. J'ai pas rencontre ce problem avant

Okay! I finally got up the courage (silly I know) to set things up and get the sample torture lattice printing. And...

It went wonderfully. I used the Flint Read method to level. I had to do it a few times only because the Z=0 confirmation message doesn’t match the manual and also doesn’t really match in English to what it should.

That all said, I put it in my custom UV curing “booth” for about 30 minutes [edit] after cleaning with 91% IPA for a few minutes. [/edit] The piece still smells like the resin. Does this go away or does it need more curing time?

I had the opportunity to try ANYCUBIC's EC "Plant Based" UV Resin out today. I picked orange, it is a very light orange. I think I would have liked nerf gun orange better.

The resin worked well in my Photon using Layer Height .04, Bottom Layer 6, Exposure Time 10 and Bottom Exposure Time 50.

I am not sure it you can tell by the picture how well it printed, so here is another in gray primer.

If feels softer than normal ANYCUBIC resin, more like the Elegoo resin.

Right now it seems a bit higher price but as demand grows I think it will be "in-the-ball-park" with other resin.

Of course the biggest concern is the smell and yes it does smell less than normal resin.

Do you think you will try it?

I recall reading a post here about the difference in support between the Photon and Photon S in the community.

Some members here said the original Photon was better cuz it had more support, but out of the box, the Photon S doesn't require extra mods to fix wobble, and the UV lights were a bit better and whatnot.

I live in Australia, so any original Photon mods are going to be quite expensive to import, which really makes me lean towards the Photon S cuz it'll work out the same as the original Photon with Z mods.

Can someone please elaborate more on the differences in support between the Photon and Photon S?

Okay another odd question that as of yet I haven't found an answer too. UV cured resin and contact with the mouth, warm liquids etc. I ask because when the formlabs 1 and 2 first came out they had a print example shown of the top to a coffee thermos in action. From my understanding UV resin isn't food safe as the resin can cure unevenly.

Are their options that exist that allow for contact with the mouth etc?
