I know this is a little off topic, but alot of you would use masks and respirators so its worth a try.

Because of the extremely hazardous air quality in my City at this time, due to unprecedented bushfires, we need a P2/N95 mask to go outside, but there has been some information that it doesn't work for kids under 14.

Are any of you aware of a particle filter mask for children? Also would there be a better mask to use for smoke than a P2?

Yay I did the first of the foreboding tasks... Changed my FEP!

I used the old FEP to check what height bottle tops I needed and first lesson: Do not use a metal thingy... it’ll scratch your FEP ? It wasn’t too bad so I carried on.

Next lesson... Be super careful... like super super careful when making holes for the screws. I slipped and made a little tiny hole with the compass. It’s right at the edge so not print area and I figure some tape should ensure it doesn’t leak... clearly I will be checking this for a while!

All round a bit of a fail in practice but at least I’m confident for next time now ?

I’m curious what softwares people use for what and what their process is. Disclaimer: my photon is shipping and I’ve not printed yet.

Currently what I’m thinking is:
1. Edit/create/shape model in blender
2. Export to mesh mixer and hollow (if necessary)
3. Save stl and move to chitubox to add supports
4. Move to photon slicer and then print

What process do you tend to use and what softwares do you prefer for specific tasks? Am I missing anything here?

I would like to congratulate everyone in this group for being such a welcoming group of people. Everyone here is always helpful and never (or rarely lol) condescending. I've recently seen so much about ventilation, safety masks and the overall stink of the Photon. Is it really that bad? I don't ever even smell the resin, or even feel the need to install a full on ventilation system. I have considered making a carbon filter system just to make it a bit safer but I haven't really implemented much bar using nitrile gloves... Is resin printing really that toxic?

I've read contradictory things about IPA and curing, i'm pretty sure that's not good to bath resin in IPA for 30h, but what's the limit? I often let my miniatures for 60-120 minutes (because i'm working with kids and don't want to take risks) in their bath, or in UV lamp, should i let them in a dark place and clean/cure later?

Conversation with Anycubic basically

Me I am looking to check on replacement fan for my anycubic, I am looking to buy replacement part,

AnyCubic asks for Serial number which I give them and they can confirm that its legit serial number and then they ask for order number which I also give them..

I also say I bought the printer through Lazada...

Anycubic then sent me a short message back that Lazada is not one of their suppliers and I will need to contact my supplier for replacement for my printer fan.

I respond back to them they did not even answer my basic question what fan specs that I would need to get from another source if one could not be ordered and paid for through them..

after several days I got short response back that I would need to get a 60 X 60 fan 12 volt...

but really they had a lot of stuff on their website how they were improving customer care and making it easier to deal with them...

but if you treat your customer that says they are even willing to pay to have a replacement part shipped to them not even asking for free replacement part in this manner its not showing you care for your users who use your product even if they did not buy from your online store or sanctioned sellers..

Oh and my anycubic came with one of the official after sales service plastic cards that was supposed to entitle me to service from Anycubic if I presented the card...
