Hello all,
I am not a dpl owner yet, i have fdm printers but i am in a process of buying, cant decide between photon and photon-s because i read a lot of bad reviews for the photon s regarding the plastic frame.
what do you suggest?

Finally got around to getting printer going,Seems to go ok then pulls part of plate,Somthing thats only this size and flat bottom that can print on FDM printer with no support should be fine?? Parts 25mm x 40mm

Running Monocure Rapid Grey with following settings

Bottom Layer Count 10

Exposure Time 8

Bottom Exposure Time 80

Somthing im missing or just need to dial in setttings a little more

Hey guys, I'm familiar with FDM printers but new to resin printers. I set up my Photon today and I'm currently printing the model included on the SD card. I noticed that the print seems to stick and pull a bit for each layer. Is that normal, or do I have some issues with bed leveling or where I've set my Z to 0? It also looks like the model was trying to print a panel that says "PHOTON" and that may have broken. Is that just a risk you take with resin prints, or is it related to this sticking?

The 3 in front are FDM. Flashforge Creator Pro, .08mm layer. Same minis in back were printed on my Photon. So smooooooth...

And the Bell 206 vertical stabilizer with beacon i designed mount printed.
The stabilizer printed with FDM/Prusa (easy shape aaand thin wall printing with control of the infill ftw) with the tiny beacon mount done with Photon with Ameralabs resin - love it, not just for fast print times but also for its dimensional accuracy and low shrinkage - virtually no filing needed to get those to parts to mesh together :)
Priming and painting tommorow but already looks better then the stock piece of crap done with fibre glass. Funny whole new one is lighter too!

All of my prints are coming out too big. An xyz calibration print should be 50, 30 and 8. But it's printing at 50.2, 30.2 and 8.2. that is way too innacurate. The other people printing with fdm's are getting 50.02. I've tried many different exposure times.

Someone mentioned the formware slicer can adjust the size of the image to suit? Is that my only option. If so what is the specific setting in formware called?

Rando pie in the sky thoughts:
Would it be possible, perhaps with a firmware and file format change, to pause a print and change exposure times on the fly? Like for swapping vats to print in another color the way we've done with swapping filaments onFDM printers.

Obviously resins with similar times wouldn't need the time change but if say I wanted a strong base in Blu but a flexible top out of Flex? (Or flex in the middle with Blu end caps) Could open up a whole new world of designed products.

How long does an average mini take to print and how many can you get out of a 500ml bottle?

In case somone broke their own or lost it, I made the original Anycubic photon spatula in 3D and in 2 versions, 1 slotted and 1 simple. it's scalable and it's recomended to be printed on an FDM printer with very low layer height
