Just finished my Terminator arm, based on the film prop. The Photon was used to make the hand, fingers, wrist jball joints, cylinder caps and elbow joints. All other parts were FDM printed.
A fantastic learning project for the Photon and combining FDM prints. Printed in grey and chrome paint spray, the piston cylinders and rods are polished aluminium.

Ive not looked at anybof my fdm's since getting this printer. It rly is amazing!.
Skirt was done with anucubic green, because i ran low on white and green i mixed em both together to make the arm amd staff, the body is elegoo grey which by far has been the best for my use. Cant wait to get this oiece painted up soon as the legs are finished

Hello everyone, I currently have an FDM printer. I've recently started to print things for tabletop gaming (minis etc). Found this printer and was wanting to learn about them before making a jump into this style printing. Got my Photon on Wednesday. Just finally got around to printing a test model last night (after being as careful as I could be with bed leveling). Worked like a charm. I have an exhaust fan set up next to it in the shop in the basement that seems to keep the smell down to a minimum.

My second print half worked (part detached from the bed, because I forgot about the glory of rafts).

Overall, I'm super impressed. I wasn't even printing this early on with my first Prusa FDM.

My question is: how strong are these parts? What are some good resins for strength? I mostly make functional parts (I'm not really interested in models or figures or the like), and I've seen a lot of "industrial" this, and "firm" and "strong" and other labels that haven't really let me figure out any kind of modulus.

Is there a list out there like the exposure spreadsheet that lists any characteristics of the resins (including things like hardness, resistance to flex, overall strength, etc)? Or is it still kind of hit or miss, even in the same resin categories because of colour and how well things cure and the like?

I made a better inkling all printed with the anycubic Photon (base and stand were FDM) the skin is also the raw print with light sanding on support side and airbrushed for darker shadowing. Amazing printer and will be making many more figures in the future! Model was also made by me in Blender.

Hello everyone. I just purchased the Photon and I’m excited to get started ! I have FDM experience but this will be my first Resin printer. I will solely use it for jewelry pendants, cuff links, and brooches. Which will involve a lot of miniatures. Any advice will help.

I don’t know what I’ve been doing the past couple years working with FDM minis... this photon is amazing! I can’t believe I can load the whole build plate and have multiple high definition models within 3 hours. Incredible.
