I've noticed with the File Validator that in Chitubox some of my light supports seem to not connect to the model. They will build up and then a few layers before contact they just disappear. I don't understand why and it's causing some failed prints. Here are my settings, apicture of the validator and a picture of the spot on the model in Chitubox 1.4.

What would cause the File Validator to not scan the layers of a particular file? No settings have changed in my ChituBox slicer and a file created before the file in question scans and reports islands.

I've been running the original PSU since I got my photon. I looked at upgrading but then decided that since I have this one, might as well use it! It may be overkill but I'm sure the photon will never exceed the power output of this 12V 20A PSU. Lol

Alright, everyone. I have a good question for you. I just finished setting up all the supports and slicing a file in Chitubox. I moved on to a couple of different models and now I noticed that one of the larger models supports don't start until layer 40 whereas another, smaller model on the same file starts at 0. Without having to completely rebuild the supports and everything(a serious pain in my ass) what's the easiest way to add nearly the entire width of the screen(corner to corner) 40 layers?

Is there a possibility of the Photon just stopping mid print and rebooting due to heat? I started a print earlier and then when I came back it was sitting on the home screen with the build plate all the way down and the support rafts stuck on the plate. The only thing I can figure is that it's either the file or the ambient temperature. I moved my photon into another room that can get kind of hot during the day.

Tl;dr: My printer just stopped and I suspect overheating. Correct assumption or nah?

Alright, I'll ask everyone else's opinions. When printing mini's bases, how do you keep the edges from curling or warping or anything.

Things I have done:
45 ° angle
30 ° angle
50 ° angle
90 ° angle
flat on supports
flat on bed.

No matter what, the bases never print without some weirdness to them. 翻譯年糕

Hey all,
The model on the right was printed and I noticed the banding. So then I did the z wobble fix and tightened the z axis up.

The model on the left is after the first and banding is still there.

Suggestions?

Maybe I missed it but does using AA and Chitubox cause your files to be ridiculously large? I'm printing a Hero Forge mini with AA and the file is 400+mb while one sliced without AA is only about 35mb.

*Update*
After some suggestions, I checked all internal cables and everything was fine. However, the front touchscreen has been flickering and dimming even going completely white for several months now. never really affected the printer until now. I believe the touchscreen may have died. Thanks everyone! I have contacted Anycubic support.

Question:
I haven't powered on my Photon in a while and when I turned it on in order to run a print, it doesn't seem to boot up. I see the z-axis limit switch light come on and hear/see the fan running but the front screen never kicks on and it makes no other signs of life.

I have done the following
1) unplugged the PSU from the machine.
2) unplugged the power from the PSU
3) tested PSU voltage(12.33v)
4) plugged into a different plug.

I don't think I have a different PSU to test with but all signs seem to point to it being fine.

Any other suggestions?
