Hello, thanks for letting me in the group. I have two questions to begin with; I have an Anycubic Photon, and would like to know if you can use other types of resin, possibly cheaper, than the original Anycubic stuff? Also, can you get cheaper versions of the FEP somehow?

Second; can someone explain to me, in common human tongue, the advantage of tilting your model-prints in relation to the base of the build-plate? Seen a lot of people doing it, but don't understand why.

Progress!! Printed inserts with adjustable feet for my low-profile Photon-S sucky-sucky base (a remixed De-Stinky-Nator https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4007108 ). Top left is one of the inserts in a printed corner of the base I printed out to check my tolerances. Fits like a glove! Now to print the new base itself, a mere 18 hour print on Miss Print... 翻譯年糕

Thought ild share my first prints. There are some fails, well sort of fails. More like position fails. ? My fault. The lower jaw for example (my very first print) what exactly was the teeth supposed to hold on to. ? You can see my better attempt next to it. There is also a stoppage photo part way through the print, two out of four were not on the plate so I cancelled the process, (photo with jaw plates and arm? I think). Oh and a bunch of successful prints, well apart from the middle head print that was me too, I forgot to add more resin, so I was quite happy after four plus hours until I opened the lid, ? ? anyway have a laugh. Oh and I've ran out of resin now ?

Hello everyone!

So I have been printing from my new Anycubic Photon S for about two weeks now and up until now it has been running like a dream.

But tragedy had to strike at some point I guess... I came home from a night shift my first failed print. I was printing these three figures from HeroForge for my players in an upcoming D&D campaign but it seems like specific sections of the three miniatures just haven't bothered to print.

The shield on the first miniature and the left arm on the other two - can anyone explain this and what to do about it/how to avoid it in the future? Pictures below for clarity.

Hello.

I am new to the 3D printing, just got my PhotonS 2 days ago.

I made three perfect looking prints but i hear a sticky sound almost every time the head lifts up after printing a layer. I think that isn't normal.. Someone can help me with this problem? Any advice? Thank you.
