Hey guys I just got a Photon this day and im using chitubox as my slicer. Im currently making a rookie mistake right now. I can only save my file as (.photon) but the printer only reads (.pws) where can I find the (.pws) on the chitubox?

PWS is a Photons Workshop file extension, not a Chitubox file extension

I think that you must upgrade your printer firmware. This way you will be able to print *photon, *photons and *pws files

I have exactly the same printer. So .photon shouldn't be the issue.
When you save it on your flash drive you do not have an option in your printer to select it?

Can you show us what it does?

I'm honestly baffled by your problem.

Your photon reads .photon files. Chitubox saves in the correct format provided you have selected the photon as your printer. Load it on your sd card and you should be able to view it from your lcd control panel. You shouldn't need to upgrade firmware at all.

Brand new out of the box photon today, only reads .pws. Export from Chitubox in .STL and load into photon workshop to export to .pws

Use blender and remove the box. You might have a hole in his back from where the box was. Just have to model that back in or fill it in when it's printed.

Drop it in Meshmixer hit edit then see if it will let you separate shells. To see if they are just grouped meshes.

Meshmixer would let you do a "plane cut" and slice right along the bottom of that box if you can't see separate the meshes.

I have now bought the Anycubic Photon and it’s sat in the cold workshop, hopefully that won’t be an issue but straight away I have a few worries. This is actually my 1st 3d printer ever, gone straight to resin. The usb stick I thought had some .stl files, they’re not on it as I tried to load one on to Chitubox, the other issue is the lid feels loose at the back, I think I’ve tightened but the part that worries me most is the windows are opaque I thought I was supposed to be able to see what’s happening. I worry that I’ve got a counterfeit one. What do you think?

Hello anycubic owners,
We can do something good. There are information that in many hospitals they have insufficient stocks of many plastic parts, and components for medical aparatures. I think that now it's a time that we could publish here some 3d models of parts which fits to medical equipment.
It's only my opinion to help in this difficult situation.
