Hey guys, so I tried my first non-test print. The test print case out fine, then I releveled the bed after feeling more confident with it and printed the baby yoda (made in this group). I sliced it with the photon slicer according to the google doc for anycubic white resin (15s exposure). This is what came out. Any ideas?

I've been happily printing with my photon for a while now. Now and again i get a print failure like below though. Could anyone tell me what the root cause is for a print to fail like this?

Settings:

bottom layer exposure and count: 90s and 4 layers

normal exposure 14s

layer thickness 0,05mm

Resin is photocentric DLP firm (according to documentation this should be suitable for anycubic photon as well)

Hi guys,
I've read and tried almost everything.
I own 2 photons and 1 photon S.
I have used ac green, black and siraya blu many times and had very small issues once in a while.

Now, switching to rapid abs like translucent elegoo, it looks like my supports are doing fine the first 4 mm, then they start to thin up and they then disappear. The weird thing is that this happens only with some supports, mostly on the corners.

I have used timings up to 14 secs and 6,5 light off secs, down to 11 and 1.5 LO, but i still get these issues.

Last night i tried to print a small piece with a flat side on top of few heavy supports, starting at 5mms from the plate. After 80 some layers, the supports looked like they had a pointy tip and the photon never printed anything else after that.

What bugs me is that the lcd test worls fine, the rectangle shows fairly well and clear.

Temperature of the room is around 20degrees as i have two chirons working full time next to the photons and they are freaking heaters.

Here you see photos of the pigmented (with cmyk monocure 3d pigments) elegoo resin on both the photon and the photon s.

Also, i have been having these problems since switching to 1.6.1 chitubox software.

Any suggestions is very welcome as I am running out of ideas.

Noticed something yesterday - I'm printing in a freezing cold garage (-2 yesterday morning) and I was wondering about resin temperature...it's had no effect I can see.

However, I stuck a (gloved) finger in the resin after a 10.5 hour print and the resin is warm anyway from the LEDs I guess. It certainly wasn't the environment!

I’m trying to print .photon .photons files in my new photon s updated at the last firmware. When I copi the files in mi mac the printer frezze in the print menu. If I copy them in windows the printer works fine. Anyone work with the photon s and Mac? I contact with the anycubic photon to expose this and their response has “the photon s only supoort .pws files”

It's good to be printing on the photon again. Anycubic maroon + flex makes for a sharp and durable tabletop model.

I would like to congratulate everyone in this group for being such a welcoming group of people. Everyone here is always helpful and never (or rarely lol) condescending. I am also in the elegoo mars group and boy that group is full of a bunch of people that belittle anyone that asks a beginner-like questions.
