Any advice on how to fix this? Worked fine yesterday, had a power outage overnight and now this is happening

有任何關於如何解決這個問題的建議嗎? 昨天工作很好, 一夜之間停電, 現在正在發生

How many takes before you got that just right?

Matt Kovach
2020-03-29 06:53:17

Alex Hendry
2020-03-29 06:54:03

Have you opened it up to check the connection between the board and screen? It looks like it might be time to replace it

Matt Kovach
2020-03-29 06:54:30

Alex Hendry I've only had it for a week and done maybe a dozen prints, do they normally go out that quickly?

Alex Hendry
2020-03-29 06:56:10

Matt Kovach No they don't, but if there was a surge well it was on it could have messed it up. I assume you've already tried unplugging and plugging the machine back in? Next I'd try opening it up and checking the connection

Matt Kovach
2020-03-29 06:56:48

Correct I have. I'll try that next. Thank you for the quick response

Alex Hendry
2020-03-29 07:00:28

Matt Kovach No problem. People on here have been helpful to me. So jus trying to pay it forward. Hopefully you get the screen working!

Alex Hendry
2020-03-29 07:01:26

Matt Kovach Oh and as a last ditch effort you can try updating the firmware on the machine

Matt Kovach
2020-03-29 07:01:56

Alex Hendry I read that online before making the post, sadly it didnt help ?

Alex Hendry
2020-03-29 07:02:28

Matt Kovach Damn, well hopefully the connection just needs a good push in or reset

Sean O'Hayer
2020-03-29 07:30:48

Just to make sure... Have you tried powering it off, unplugging it from the power supply for a few minutes, plugging it back in, and turning it back on?

Matt Kovach
2020-03-29 07:31:25

Sean O'Hayer that and updating firmware was the first thing I tried

Sean O'Hayer
2020-03-29 07:36:20

Matt Kovach ok. Sorry, I would have felt horrible if I didn't ask. It's the tech in me.

My next step would be to check the LCD, as Alex recommended.

Also, which firmware did you try?

Phlavio Spr
2020-03-29 07:48:07

Bad contact on LCD flat cable for sure.

Need some help.

Is anyone using Anycubic Eco Green? I need some starting settings and I'd normally just do a calibration test, but I need to pass the info on.

If possible I need layer height and cure time. I also use ultra thin supports, so the settings need to either be near perfect or slightly overexposed.

Afraid I cannot help with settings, but you should probably post which version of the Photon this is for as e.g. S model typically has shorter exposure times than original

You waited a week! lol I had mine printing in like 30 minutes lol and I have not stopped lol I got mine about 2 weeks ago

Joe Bone
2020-03-29 05:55:28

It's a second hand one so wanted to check it over first and honestly was concerned it would break of something haha ? don't like how you can't see it printing. use to FDM printers haha

Jolene Sweeney
2020-03-29 05:58:30

Joe Bone same here (I have 4 ender 3s) but you just have to wait.... listen for a popping sound on the first like 3 layers and you know it at least stuck to the bed lol but once you get going it's pretty easy! Clean up us a pain but printing its self is easier then FDM.

2020-03-29 06:03:13

Jolene Sweeney i have an ultrasonic cleaner i'm itching to try so hoping it'll be good. Also bulit a curinging booth into my garage shelf units ........ completely prepared haha

Jolene Sweeney
2020-03-29 06:05:51

Joe Bone I built a curing area too lol I'm just using the pickle jar and acetone right now (can't get ipa lol) it's not terrible but I just got used to the print finishing and being done lol with sla you have to clean and cura and sometimes it just is annoying lol love my prints to!

Joe Bone
2020-03-29 06:16:16

Jolene Sweeney I was looking at all sorts for the cleaning I have some industrial degreaser which I'm going to try first and see if it works. Everyone raves about mean green but cant get it here. If the torture cube works then I have a second print lined up ready to go Haha

Jolene Sweeney
2020-03-29 06:18:17

Joe Bone yea it's a pain right now. I tried mean green 1st and HATED it. It didnt clean my prints at all and then were tacky even after curing...

Apparently a cleaner like you have should help but I'm not going to buy one just because of an ipa shortage right now lol acetone works really really well so I'm happy til I can get ipa

Joe Bone
2020-03-29 06:19:55

Jolene Sweeney yeah I have it for cleaning up tools and bits anyway so it's easy to get and I normally have 5L sat about anyway

Jolene Sweeney
2020-03-29 06:20:57

Joe Bone lol good thing! Well keep us updated! Hope the 1st print goes well!

Joe Bone
2020-03-29 06:21:38

Jolene Sweeney 40% complete give it an hour or so Haha

Hi everyone thanks for accepting me.
I do have a question I have a unique toys ordin and the ankle rocker broke.

So I've made a new one using a 3d design program. However when i go to print the new rocker it comes out smaller than the original part.

How do i correct this and put the print into proper scale?

I am using a anycubic photon resin 3d printer. The units change from inches to millimeters in the 3d print program.

Hi guys,
I’ve been having issues getting Hilo’s on printings.
I just changed FEP and it’s still happening, do you know what causes this issue?

If it runs straight through, you either have resin on your LCD, or your LCD is dying.

Mark Wardle
2020-03-29 04:44:57

make a rectangle that covers the whole screen. then run a dry print ie remove the vat etc. place a sheet of paper over the lcd screen run the print of the rectangle and see if there are any holes.

Shinya Hamano
2020-03-29 04:46:42

thank you guys, I'll try that.

if the printer is less then 3 months old contact anycubic support. you might be able to get a replacement.

The supports were coming out fine, the model was left behind on the FEP. I didnautosupports through prusa slicer and final slicing with chitubox, can anyone tell me where I went wrong?

翻譯年糕

罗西晟
2020-03-29 04:18:26

Euh, 3 seconds exposure is very little... So most likely the supports were still too soft in order to pull the print off the FEP.

Andrew Steele
2020-03-29 04:19:29

Xi-Sheng Luo I'll try 4 or 5 next time. I'm just worried that with green and a 03 layer I shouldn't go much beyond that.

Fred Bey
2020-03-29 04:20:02

Exposure is way too low. Even for an S, I'd bet. An OG photon was 7.5 seconds for .020 so 3 for .030 is way off.

Andrew Steele
2020-03-29 04:20:28

Fred Bey it's an S

罗西晟
2020-03-29 04:21:00

Andrew Steele For your info: Im printing with 8 seconds... For Anycubic Translucent Green.
Room temperature: ~20C

Fred Bey
2020-03-29 04:21:17

still way low, I'd bet. falling off the supports is a sign of under exposure.

Andrew Steele
2020-03-29 04:21:22

Photon or Photon S?

Mark Wardle
2020-03-29 04:21:35

way low exposure try the above suggestions 7 or 8 seconds.

罗西晟
2020-03-29 04:22:06

Photon, but the S does not mean that you can cut time in half from the get-go... It's not "that much" faster at curing.

Mark Wardle
2020-03-29 04:22:43

also if you want try my prusa supports for printing miniatures of the base plate

Mark Wardle
2020-03-29 04:23:00

Mark Wardle
2020-03-29 04:23:13

Mark Wardle
2020-03-29 04:23:56

the supports are micro thin. and the model will print off the bed. after adding supports export with the supports. then slice in your fav slicer.

Anders Scot Hudson
2020-03-29 04:28:36

General rule, if the supports are there and the model fell off, too weak or not enough support, if the supports look like they got melted with a plasma hit, it's under exposure.

Anders Jens Ramm
2020-03-29 04:29:57

Xi-Sheng Luo for what layer height?
