So can someone tell me what's going wrong here I recently changed out the fep because I had a leak I'm either getting almost all of the Stuff coming out with 1thing missing and the structure still in the vat or the whole print messed up

Wife bought me the original Photon for Valentines Day. It's been sitting all week because I've watched all the videos and read articles and seen all the warning signs about the resin and don't leave it in the vat for more than 48 hours, yada yada yada..
I couldn't let this beautiful thing just sit here unused until I had something I needed to print so I opened it all up today and I printed the Test File Cube. It did an outstanding job!
Give it to me straight, how careful do I really need to be with this resin? Obviously anything foreign in the eyes is a bad thing, but excluding the eyes, and I guess consuming it, how dangerous is it really?
Also, when I got done with my test print I didn't have anything I needed to print (and I need to figure out slicing / adding supports) I used one of the paper funnels to funnel the resin back in the container and cleaned everything up. I used alcohol and paper towels to wipe down the top and bottom of the build plate and inside / around the vat.
On a 1 - 10 scale where 1 is not cleaning it at all and 10 is clinically diagnosed OCD. How anal do I really need to be around the resin, in the cleanup afterwards and long term storage of the resin (can it sit in the vat for 30 - 60 days?
I feel like I just gave it a solid 8 or 8.5 on the cleanup and used a lot of paper towels and in hindsight it felt a lot like overkill..
Looking for some honest education here.

Resolved.

Hey guys looking for some advice or anyone else who has experienced this issue.

Fairly new to printing. I have a Photon S and my prints have been turning out well so far.

Today I encountered an issue where the printer is unable to open the files. The menu is sometimes quite slow when the USB is plugged in.

I've tried with a new USB formatted to FAT32 and the issue persists. Flashed the firmware to V502.

A couple pieces of advice I would offer everyone with build plate leveling issues...
(1) if your Allen wrench doesn’t fit that screw right, take it out and throw it in the garbage and get yourself a real M6 set screw.
(2) when they say tighten that screw, they mean TIGHTEN that screw. I suggest after leveling and snugging that screw, remove the build plate so you can apply some torque to that little screw without being scared you’re gonna hurt the machine.
(3) notice they gave you an extra set screw with the machine. Put that guy in there as a jam screw to make sure the first one can’t move. This one only needs to be snug.
(4) I have had ZERO leveling problems since I addressed this. Before I did all that, just the pressure of pulling layers off the FEP was moving the build plate.

My woes continue. I am having no luck. I tried at 30 degree angle. Lots of supports and barely any. Complex models and easy ones. I am getting this kind of result. The model does not even have anything to print where the floppy resin is. The rest of the model is pretty good.

Ok folks I got my printer got it set up and printed the cube. My opinion the cube turned out good. But now as a newbie where should I start as in trying to learn how to take a file from thingiverse and slice with Chitubox and print because the earrings I tried was a total fail

Okay a few questions (Shocker, I know):
1) It appears that my photon only reads the pws files, but of course, Chutibox only exports in .photon. Any thoughts on how to convert those?
2) Supposedly you can print that cube thing pretty much right out of the box with no supports -- but running it through Photon Validator shows quite a number of things that need to be fixed -- and some things that can't be auto fixed. I noticed that there's a size listing, like some of these islands are a pixel size... is that something to worry about?
3) My printer did not come with the green resin, but I have grey resin I bought. Do I need to go to the spreadsheet and adjust the STL file for the demo cube?
