I tried my first print today... and nothing. The build plate was empty, there was nothing there. I pulled out the vat and can see where the first layers were built but it is clear that the build plate wasn't low enough against the FEP to grab the solidified resin. How do I fix this. I put in my print and started the printer. I assume the build plate lowered to the 0 plane and then lifts out one layer at a time. But how do I get the build plate down low enough? Every time I try to set 0 the screen says press Home first then lower the plate, which I do, and then after completing the leveling procedure I still cant set the z=0. Any advice is appreciated.

My very first figurine print! Used Anycubic Clear green resin
Exposure time : 10s
Layer height : 0.02mm
off time : 3s
bottom exposure : 50s
layers : 4

Not sure why there are white spots on the models after it cures under the sun. Any recommendations to make it better?

I started two exact copies of the same print on two different photons today. One I bought last week, another I've had for a year and change. The newer one took 20 minutes longer to complete the print. Any ideas as to the possible cause? Newer firmware take longer?

Hello folks.

I need some advice.

I recently bought a photon s and everything’s been great with it, but since telling chitubox I have a photon s it will no longer save in .photon format for my photon regardless of which profile I try. I can’t seem to see any options as to how save in an different format, can any one help?

Upgraded the firmware to the latest release and have not had a successful print since. I think I left out the step of leveling the bed again and setting the z height. I guess I thought I wouldn’t have to. Guess I thought wrong.

I use these wipes after i clean with Mean Green and then a quick rise off with warm water and support removal if needed. I take the wipe and wipe down the figure till there are no more shiny spots / areas then wait a min till it evaporates then into the uv curing box. These work great. Can be bought on Amazon. Just remember these are not HAND WIPES. Wear gloves.

So I had a arm printed out and of course it is missing a finger. I dont want to waste resin on a whole arm just for a finger. Is there a type of material to add. to kind of sculpt in a finger.

So, I broke my leg. Not cool. Can't work, 6 weeks without weight on the leg. But that means I finally have time to get my 3d printer out of the box! Problem is I can't get down the stairs to my shop. My wife is concerned about the fumes, so I'm thinking about setting it up in the guest shower. It's dark and has a vent to the outside. But it also has a sloped floor, of course. Should I try to level a table in there? (Or have my son or wife do that, because I sure can't!) Will there be issues with moving it out of the shower? Because it's the only shower I can access. (timing will be an issue for a long build). Or is this just a dumb idea?
