Kempster Kevin any idea what I should be looking for when turning the large brass screw after loosening the pulley?

if the carriage is loose you’re trying to move the center wheel out a bit. So do as shown and then put it back on the rail. If it doesn’t wiggle and runs up and down smooth you’re good to go. If not keep adjusting till it does.

You can either print the thing at an angle or increase you exposure. Those are the two main ones.

Printing with the base flat to the buld plate? If so, It's probably a suction failure. There needs to be a small hole to let the liquid resin flow into the middle to relieve the suction pressure.

This is the most likely cause (suction).

Yeah, never print flat, always angle and use supports.

Resin is different from filament, supports and avoiding the build plate are your friends, not your enemies.

Make the model thicker or add supports for weak spots.

Suction is a likely culprit. Though if the model has some errors that could cause something like this as well. Making the walls a little bit thicker could help.

Jonathan Basseri Yep. You;ll need one any time you're printing a bowl-shape, even if it's up on supports. If there's the potential to suction, you'll need to add a hole.

as I begin my modeling journey I have avoided too many supports as I have not yet mastered how/where to put them. My searching on the forums advises chitubox but the number of supports this generates makes cleaning up the model difficult and ends up messy and not clean lines. For this model it generated as below

Check that your room is within the recomended temperature for the resin.

With the latest update (5.0.2 from last december?) you can use chitubox. The first thing I did when I got my printer is updating to this firmware. Never had a problem besides user errors.

Yes, you are, a little. That's just the way they pack it. At least, it's the way my last half dozen bottles have arrived, and I've had no printing issues.
