Has any body used the elegoo water washable resin? I have just received a bottle and the instruction on the back of box still say to use ethanol to clean the model. Have they just printed standard instructions on the box and not updated them to the fact it is water washable?

So. Everyone harks on about simply green and mean green cleaners us UK bound people will pay more per Litre than a single malt whisky for them so I thought I’d try out something I had at home. Pine disinfectant I watered it down by 50% and shoved it through the ultrasonic cleaner and then rinsed it and cured it. So far I’m very impressed with the results as it certainly is clearer than an IPA rinse tand a hell of a lot more pleasant smell. And at 50p a litre it’s a lot more accessible than IPA.

Hello !

I'm starting to model a collection of video game characters. I will focus on video games, since I find that the figurines of characters from Pop Culture are already too represented...

Finished up a hero prop for the stage production of Catch Me If You Can at my daughter's High School this morning. Whenever you can it's wonderful for add in some of your talents and skills to help others develop theirs. Revolver modeled and 3d printed to approximate a Smith & Wesson snub nose used by the FBI in the 1960's. All but the frame printed on my Photon.

So I’ve been wondering. Some use a flexible resin mixed in with a standard resin for strength and breakage resistance.

So my question is what do you do with the mixed resin in the vat? Put it back in the original non-flex resin bottle or pour it into a nice clean empty bottle.
I’ve ordered an empty 1000ml bottle to dump flex/other resin into. At some point I suspect I’ll end up with a 80/20 mix of multi color 80/20 resin. I’d wager it’s going to be one seriously ugly color. But resin isn’t free, so any alternative would be interesting to hear about.
