How are the temperatures in the room it is printing in?

James Sixtyseven Mundy Hmm... yeah, I've had some of the same issues as are seen in the photo, and I think mine are temp related. I've been upping my exposure times .5 to 1s .. sacrificing some details but it's been working

Id try normal exposure 10, off 3, bottom 80. That seems to work for me. If it doesn't work on those settings then try thicker supports.

Gavin Starkey yeh I’ll try that dude ! Supports are done in Prusa so carnt make any thicker going try chitubox

those settings work ok for me mate and prusa supports are normally good so if those settings dont work then maybe give your resin a good mix up. How old is it?

Check your fep is tuned correctly.

increase your bottom layer count (2 is too low). Also worth leveling again and checking fep tension

I agree, bump up the bottom layer count to at least 5. If after re leveling it still isn't staying on the plate, bump up bottom exposure time. I've been going as high as 120 seconds on bottom layers with this resin.

Matthew Burton I have been doing .05 at 19s. I do not like this resin that much but it works. Harz labs red prints better in my opinion. I might finally give bluecast a go once this bottle is finished if I don't come across something cheaper that's worth trying.

Matthew Overbeck ya, sorry not ultrasonic. Just a cell phone vibrator in a plastic housing. Ultrasonic uses transducers and I've never seen one without a metal tank at minimum, and need more power than 5vdc USB can provide. Also, mean green only works OK heated imo.

Jeff Greenfield thanks for the info. Better than nothing until I can get the real thing then. I will try warming my rinse tank and see if that helps. What about warming of the rinse liquid softening the print will I get increased distortion on thin parts?

Just drop it in acetone for 30 secs and give it a swirl.

Did you set z=0 correctly? Remember that zero and home are two different things.

And that pre sliced cube is set for the green resin. You will need to re slice with the correct exposure times.

It took me 2 months, weekends mostly to get good prints. And the fruit of all that labor, my first 15 hr print.

I just had this issue yesterday and I just fixed it. What color resin are you using? Mine was black and I needed up up the exposure to 80 or 90 seconds for initial layers then 12 for the other layers.

when stuff merges together its usually heavily overexposed or due to a bad firmware.

What's your exposure time and for what resin?
Idk about what firmwares are problematic, but I once updated to a bad one and had frame shearing, downgraded to a different version and since then everything has been perfect.

If that's a Photon S, you're probably overexposing by several seconds. The UV light is stronger than the regular Photon and doesn't need as much time per layer. I don't know what the right settings would be, but running the resin exposure test would help you find them.

Valtteri Purra overexposed, lowering exposure time can help. Difficult to say how much - it depends on what is your current setting, ambient temp... for photon s, I would start from 8s and go down.

i have printed this testfile, but cant see realy a differnce between the 8 pieces. in my opinion they are all ok ? ?

Uli Sazma they shouldn't all look the same, sure you sliced it right, called it correct file name etc, some should be under exposed, if you sure you done it right, lower the cure time on the first square.

The same thing happened to me. I was told I should have bought the replacement as one part. I had tried to scrape it off but scratched the plate underneath. I ended up having a replacement part cut to size. Good luck
