Is mineral spirits or paint thinner a usable substitute for IPA? Or is that a bad idea?

Not the worst idea out there. It's still an ethanol base. Depending on if there's any additives, it may or may not cause damage to the print. Best to test first, but several others have already tried this.

I switched to methylated spirits and mean green. Wash in one, rinse in the other.

What do you guys think? Dead pixels, or resin under the screen. I whipped Down the top of the lcd screen just to be sure it wasn’t anything sticking to the top of it.

A couple of weeks ago I was looking at IPA and it was so cheap for 5 litres, I refuse to pay the extortionate prices being asked now.
Does anyone have recommendations on what I can use in the Anycubic Wash & Cure machine?

Looks like you are probably in the UK, so not sure if it is available, but in the US we have a product called Mean Green, which works wonders. I like it far better than IPA, if I am honest. https://www.amazon.com/....../dp/B01E2JFTUK/ref=sr_1_2......

I have to say, I am not sure about the wash and cure machine, I have no experience with it, but I do use it in an ultrasonic cleaner.

So it’s looking like it’s working this time, quickly paused at roughly the same time as yesterday and there looks like a print on the build plate. Certainly an improvement from yesterday. Relevelled the plate, updated the firmware and set the bottom exposure to 80s so thanks to everyone for your tips yesterday, I know it hasn’t finished yet so touchwood. The irony would be pausing and restarting the print messes it up.
