I got a second hand regular Photon and the Z axis seems to have popped off its rail in shipping, how do I fix this?

Could I pour back resin into the bottle from the tray without any problems? I have a misprint stuck at the bottom of my tray and I don't feel like wasting a bunch of resin.

Seems like I am getting my green resin dialed in. Is there any good reason to switch to gray? Any advantages? Better quality prints?

Hi guys
Really weird fact... I used anycubic green translucent resin delivered with my photon s since the beginning. 8 sec exposure and all went fine...
I switch to anycubic clear and did the exposure test with both the green old resin and the clear.
You can see the results.
It seems details on the green one is much less good. (I just colored the clear one to see it better)
I just see the old resin is much more dense and viscous...
so considering that I was happy the my old resin but here I see much better resolution with the new one...
How should I interpret that and how much I should expose the clear one?
Thanks

Heya!

Prints keep failing after a new LCD screen was installed. Some parts on the bed print fine, others not, as you can see in the picture. One was made after I stopped to check if everything was okay. Exposure test seems fine.

Never had this issue before the new screen. What may be causing it? (I levelled already, same settings as before with perfect prints, new FEP, nothings works).

thx!

Hi folks! Prints are perfectly accurate and precise but I have a problem with popping the printed stuff off the plate. It seems waaaaay too hard and ABSOLUTELY impossible to avoid damaging the plate.

I used the search-in-page function to try to find something about it but no success.

Please, give me an advice or a link!
Thanks!

(I use a silver build plate)

So I've noticed that there seems to be a lot of newcomers of late (myself included). Just came across a video that consolidates a lot of good modelers and thought to myself that this video would have definitely been a good starting point/helpful for find minis that are perfect for me had I not already found them. So if you're wondering what to print next, I hope this year old video helps :)

I got a (classic) photon over the holiday sales. It is one of the newer fauxtons...

It was working just fine, printing minis, no issues and now it isn't reading any of the sliced files. It shows the names on the lcd screen but no image of the print and trying to print says file error.

I have tried several other USB sticks, I have tried old files that I just had work. No luck.

I updated the firmware with no problems so I know the USB does work. But this didn't fix the problem. Any ideas form the hive mind?

Already made one dumb question, time to make another. In the Google spreadsheet this group manages, the suggested time for curing clear resin at .02mm is 30 seconds of exposure, 110 seconds of bottom exposure. This seems excessive. It also takes what could be a 3hr print and makes it 7hrs. Is that an error?

Figured I would post this here since it's kind of stumped me a little bit. I started getting random layers every 50 layers or so. Sat and watched the screen is it printed a file and sure enough every so often I would get an exposure like you see in the picture. Since I've never had any experience with these LCD screens dying I wasn't quite sure what to expect. I guess I kind of thought they would just get a hole burned through them and blocks wouldn't work anymore. Seems strange that it would only happen every so often. Either way I replaced the screen last night and now I'm back to running perfectly again. The third picture is the same file printed on the old LCD vs printed with the new LCD screen. Seems like that was the problem. All of the connection seem nice and tight when I took the old LCD screen out so I don't think anything was loose and causing it. Had my printer since mid Dec so only a little over 3 months old. If anyone is interested this is the LCD screen that I replaced it with from Amazon.
