Hey all,

I recently tried to update my Photon S from v2.9.5 to v3.4.1 on restart, before i could update the UI from v2.6 to v2.6 the printer freezes up after a USB stick is inserted. Whether from power on or after. If I power on without a USB stick, i can navigate menus etc. which is obviously useless without the USB drive.

There's and indicator light labeled "d6" located centrally on the motherboard that flashes until it detects a drive, at which point the machine locks up. I've been unable to locate any documentation for this motherboard.

I worked with Anycubic, they had me format a few drives, and then skipped straight to replacing the motherboard. While I absolutely appreciate them sending me one, and hope it's on it's way soon, I'd love it if i could recover this one.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the motherboard to flash the firmware if i can't access the menus to "print" the .bin files? The motherboard i have is v1.4.0 and includes an Ethernet port, but so far, i've been unable to identify a way to interface with the motherboard outside of the touch display.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

** Yes i'm aware 5.0.2 is out, and i should have updated to that. I'd love to, but can't "print" any firmware files currently. Hence the search for an alternate interface.

Any one having problems with anycubic slicer program, I have to cut a base into 4 sections I did the top half the quartered it just fine. I go to do the bottom half tell me program not responding

I havent seen a post on this yet, but trying to update my firmware to v4.19 on my photon. I've downloaded the update from anycubic and have nothing but the files on the thumbstick that came with the printer. When I turn it on with the thumbstick inserted, it loads up normally and wont let me 'print' the files that show up. Any help would be appreciated. Would like to think I didnt buy a $200 paperweight

Anyone tried the ESUN water washable transparent resin? I done on Anycubic Photon: gone very well, I washed and postcured (like somewhere recommended for crystal resins) on UV device under water (a glass). After print result was great, after wash also, after 10min. postcuring was ok, but later, after drying with just compressed air everything was covered by a white dust. (Someone mind theback of some Shapeways ultra frost prints?The same). If you polish the print it gone away.... but I have small lens... hard to be polished. Any know why? Any advice? Thanks.

No raft, no supports just print straight on the plate. Anycubic Black, took about 53 minutes with these settings: Layer Thickness: .05mm
Normal Exposure: 7 sec
Bottom Layer Exposure: 90 sec
Bottom Layers: 4
Z-Lift Distance: 6mm
Z-lift Speed: 3 mm/s
Z Retract Speed 3 mm/s

Thanks for the add. Honestly, I have been a pla printer for more than a year and my Anycubic photon has been sitting in the box for 5 months mainly because of logistics.

I can't find a good spot in my house where other family members won't be smelling the resin.

So now that I have built my own cave for SLA, I am ready to go!!!

My Photon (and wash&cure) arrived!
(Don't mind the mess, still cleaning up the space)

Resins:
Anycubic black, white & translucent green

Prepped a special corner in my boilerroom so that the fumes get extracted by building ventilation(extractor)

Already leveled the bed and set z=0...

Used to have a reprap so not new to 3d printing, only new to resin printing.

Already got the exposure test and z-wobble test downloaded.
Just prepping some more stuff (supported mini's) to be printed before I start.

Think I'll want to start with the Anycubic test file... Though photon validator sais it has floating islands, not sure if I'd have to fix those....

Good afternoon. I have a problem choosing settings for photopolymers in model S.

Can you tell me your settings to help save money and time, and not try everything by trial and error.

I use a printer to print miniature. A recent attempt at printing gave a good result, but I feel that the printer might work better.

Can you share your experience, tips and tricks?

I print on a gray, black-green photopolymer from Anycubic.

Is there a better choice in terms of price and quality?

What settings do you recommend for what is indicated above?

Hey there, Im new to printing with Anycubic Photon S. I tried with the tranlucent green Resin and want to change to a grey resin. I bought the one of Anycubic Resins but I hate the smell. The green resin dosnt smell, but the grey...

Could anyone give me an recommendation for a grey resin, not smelling for 28mm miniatures ? I want clear details, layerheight... 0.03mm till 0.02mm. Working settings for exposure would be a dream :)

I got an email from AnyCubic offering me a free bottle of resin for an honest review of the printer. I'm not afraid to sellout so I jumped straight on it, but now the rep is saying to order the resin and they'll refund me rather than just sending it to me.

Is this some sort of esoteric scam? Had anyone been contacted by this rep before?
