I have 4 ender 3s but I'm starting to want a resin printer.... I know all the positives but what I'm most concerned about is the smell.... we build a brand new house and I'm worried if I also do resin that they house will smell Horrible.... I know safety is also a big thing but honestly what's stopping me is the smell lol

EDIT to add that the new printer would be in a bedroom but I also decorate cookies in there. I have considered the garage but live in AZ so 120⁰ summers could be an issue.... I wont use it toooo often just to print maybe 10-12 minis a month

2nd EDIT how dose the smell compare to the 2 part resin you use to coat items? (I recently used it to make dnd health Potions)

Alright everyone. I need your help. Resin is monocure 3d rapid Grey.
My settings:
50um layer.
14sec xp.
Base xp is 60 and 5 layers.

I ran an xp finder test and determined it was 14 sec. The thing is i still get horrible details and layer shifts. The support-side has very poor details, almost smudged, and the other side is mediocre. I didnt pay 70 bucks for a resin that is as bad or worst in terms of exposure time than my elegoo resin, wich i run with 18sec xp and people told me that's high too! 8sec are advertised from monocure and "made for low power dlp printers". I hope i am doing something wrong.

I already tried my luck on reddit, got some great tips but still bad test. The old test is on top, new test with fresh "tuned" FEP (350hz) is on the bottom. Better detail but shit none the less. You are my last hope guys

A new screen is needing an extremely long time for each layer, is the machine losing power? Is there a part I need to replace?

I replaced my screen with an Anycubic one from eBay, and then prints kept failing if they used supports.

Then my exposure test came out virtually blank when I ran it.

This is using Anycubic grey resin at room temperature, the same bottle worked absolutely fine before the new screen.

Hi everyone, I'm completely new to 3D printing. Recently got the Photon S. Still learning about the software and the technical things.

I have just done my first print and I have a few questions and hope you guys can help me.

1. I'm using the printer to print dental models. I'm wondering what sort of setting I should have for the details I require? Where do I change the setting? Is it in the Anycubic Workshop?

2. After I print the models. I clean the model with 70% isopropyl. And I leave the model in a ultrasonic bath of the same solution for 5 min. I still get some white residual on the model.
Is this due to the uncured resin?
Is the concentration of 70% adequate? Or do I need a higher concentration?
What is your protocol on post printing products?

Your kind assistance is greatly appreciated ?

Hi all, I recently received my photon and I just tried to print the photon resin exposure range tester file (X3msnake) from photonsters.

Somehow it didn’t work out quite well...it didn’t form anything on my build plate...

Any tips for me to do the exposure test?
Resin used: Anycubic ECO Clear

We had our d&d gathering today (finally) and I was asked to print a bunch of things for next time. On the list was red cloaked bad guys. I found this and looks like it's supposed to print without supports. I'm currently printing the other stuff in white, and will probably just switch to my red resin to print these. Anyone think they won't work this way? (Sorry for the shitty picture) I did check, and I didn't see any islands
