Okay, so this is the second machine in a row which, after very little use has suffered the 11800 curse. (Where it crashes mid print because it mistakenly thinks the USB stick has been removed)
I've updated the firmware. I've tried multiple USB sticks and plugged them directly into the mother board. All to no avail.
Here's something odd, though. If I run a dry print (with no resin in the vat) it runs perfectly. Once I add resin I get 11800 sometimes as late as 80% through.
Current theory: vibration of cured resin being pulled from the vat causing a disconnect which suggests a physical fault somewhere.
Is there anything else I can try before I send this one back as well?

Hello!
Searched the forum for answers but couldnt fond it.
What causes the layers to seperate?
I have elegoo waterwashable black resin, about 21°C and exposure of 6s.
Also I have a huge problem of getting the models to stick to the supports, any advice in that department?

My last couple days playing with prints and learning how to manually support! ? prints are starting to look pretty good.

Over curing ... what does it do to the resin structure and properties?? I suspect it makes the mini super brittle?

I printed a couple of these big and super badass sculpts. I was super excited to paint these up and put them into my game as a bbeg.

Buuuut, I accidentally left these in my curing chamber for over a day... when I took it out to show a buddy, he dropped in on plush carpeting and it broke super easily. Glad I didnt paint this or anything.

Well I still need to set it up but so far so good. I found a amazing deal on eBay, on a listing that pretty much just showed the brown cardboard box, but the description was for a brand new photon S for about $200. Took like 3 days to get here too, was scared when I saw damage to the box and a lot of tape covering up that area, with small amounts of black mold underneath. But so far everything inside looks untouched. There was even a bottle of resin inside, I really wasn’t expecting that!

My roommate vanquished the mighty resin cap and I can hear the fep popping.

I'm excited.

I didn't calibrate for the flesh tone resin so when it mixed with the grey it did NOT go well. Hopefully this print will be prettier.

I should not be grinning so much from hearing the fep pop but here I am.

Just cleaned my resin vat, cleaned the build plate, got rid of the mixed resin...

And I can't open my new bottle of grey because it's screwed on too tight!

Update: I now have 3 blisters on my right hand and one popped. The bottle cap wins this round...
