I have a problem I've not seen mentioned before with my original Photon. Hopefully someone can assist.

After printing well for over a year, without even an LCD change, a couple of months ago I started getting loose thin 'leaves' of semi cured resin on the print. These weren't attached to the print and appeared to have just landed on it at some point. They came off when cleaning. Prints themselves were fine.

This last week or two I have to empty the vat and clean cured resin from the fep after every print. The prints come out OK, but the next print will fail unless I clean this off.

LED test doesn't reveal any issues nor does running a print without the vat in place. The UV Leds flicker occasionally but doesn't seem critical.

2 different bottles of resin ordered at different times both do the same.

Any ideas?

Im trying to print with Monocure Flex (at 100%) and not having much luck. No problem with up to 80% but at 100% it fails every time. (either fails to stick to the plate and drops into the vat, or else it sticks but the part is badly mutilated) Interested to know if anyone has any success with printing this resin at 100%, and if so can you share the settings please!

Am I right that there is not "one" setting for the printer, but different settings that work better for different .stl models? I just printed a couple Octopuses for my kids, and I had to cut the base layer exposure time and the layer exposure time in half to get it to print where it wasn't welded together as a solid piece of resin. But those same settings did not work for the ghoul miniatures I tried to print next - well, to be precise 3 of the 6 ghouls failed. the other 3 had a few spots where the light supports failed but not enough to wreck the whole model. So, am I right that there are different settings for different .stls?

Quick question, what is everyone using for castable resin?

Also why is it so’s expensive, would love to print some items for casting... but dam it is expensive ?

I need to add some flexibility to some hinge covers for Dell Chromebooks. The existing covers break very easily out of ABS (the small locking tabs, not the entire cover). What additive should I add to a typical resin to retain hardness like injection molded part, but add some flexibility to help those small bits from breaking? Suggestions appreciates

Hi, sorry for the newbie questions, but wondering if someone can help me with these?

1. I'm using water washable resin. Washing in an anycubic wash and cure. Once removed after washing, (but before curing), do I still need gloves on?

2. Just printed the second test print on the stick - the exposure test - but it was mega stuck to the plate. Broke a couple taking it off. I just hit print from the stick so not my settings, but wondering if I'm doing something obviously wrong?

3. The residue in the cleaning container is water/resin not ipa. How many times can I use same water, and becasue its water can I just dispose in drain?

Anyone know what this film stuff is on the print? I can take most of it off with the exacto knife but I have printed 10 of these dudes and 4 of them came out this way.

First successful print, pretty happy with it overall. Any tips on getting the quality up? I'm seeing visible layer lines and some of the finer details look a little muddled. Printed on the anycubic green and primed grey. 13s exposure time and .05 layer height.
