One of the reasons it's important to understand 3D modeling in the programming that does it is when you're slicing or file sometimes the normals in the 3D model were flipped in short it means no light is bouncing off of that surface that is the program cannot calculate light bouncing off of that surface. And for some reason that affects the slicer into thinking that that surface does not exist. To fix it one has to go into the 3D program that built the model oral program that can manipulate the model such as blender and find those faces and flip the normal if in the 3D program you can see the faces they should turn black or if they word black to begin with and you flipped their normals then they will be lit up. Basically the opposite state.

Any insight on what happened here? I printed 2 batches rupees. The first batch turned out great but the second batch had air bubbles inside the print and one rupee adhered to the FEP half way thru the job. I had 8 bottom layers at 90 sec. Exposure with 8 second exposure for the subsuquent layers and 4 second pause after each layer.

Finally got good adhesion with the help of re levelling and warming the goo before hand ?

What’s occurred here? This was on the closest corner to the bed, it was auto orientated and supported at bout 70-80% had a few more pieces on the plate but they came out as expected. Guess I could sand it to make it less noticeable?

So i had my first failure. I was printing a large piece of a display model (a little smaller than a baseball) and then super tiny versions of that model as well.

They all broke off the supports. Since this was my first time using opaque resin, im assuming its under exposure? Or would the supports have failed as well? What interesting is i had 2 sets of the smaller model pieces. You can see the base layers of one on the plate there. But the other has nothing

Anycubic black
4 base layers at 75 seconds.
.05 layer height at 8 seconds

So I've noticed that there seems to be a lot of newcomers of late (myself included). Just came across a video that consolidates a lot of good modelers and thought to myself that this video would have definitely been a good starting point/helpful for find minis that are perfect for me had I not already found them. So if you're wondering what to print next, I hope this year old video helps :)

Hey Folks,

I'm having some prints come out slightly deformed. do I need more supports for the lowest points? I tried increasing exposure time with this resin to slightly above the recommendations, and the room I'm printing in is about 70F.

What things am I considering when doing a print in place/flexi item like the Trilobite posted earlier. Not that specific one, but there are some I would like to print like this one......

Loving these flexi trilobite critters! They are so fun and take barely any resin!

Also: anybody got any suggestions for a dice tower that isn't too big for the photon? All the ones I'm finding are too big and I don't want to resize them.
