I'm totally new to this, so I apologize for being an idiot... I'm using Monoprice Rapid UV Gray with a regular Photon.

The Google sheet says 20 seconds exposure. I did a few miniatures, and wasn't terribly impressed with the detail.

Reading through here definitely had me suspecting overexposure... so I decided to run the Monocure test print at 15 seconds as a baseline, and I think it looks pretty damn good. Should I screw around doing tests at higher and lower exposures, or just try printing models at 15 seconds instead of 20 seconds, and see what happens?

Thanks in advance! ?

Something went wrong. A print didn't fail. A simple one, but at least it came out. Tomorrow I'll update the firmware and try something more complex.

I apologize if this isn't allowed, but I just had to share this to get the word out.

For anyone looking to support an awesome sculptor I ask that you consider supporting Megs Empinado. The guy does some amazing work and at $15 for his lowest tier you can't go wrong. When you sign up you get access to all his previous bust files as well as an awesome Morbius model. Next month is Werewolf by night, which looks to be an amazingly well done model. Consider signing up, I don't think you will be disappointed. Added a few pics of his Werewolf By Night.

Do the lines next to the circles matter? Exp 1 has clearer circles but less of the lines and dots and the 1 didn’t even print. Using a Photon S.

Cross posted this help request to reddit as well, but want as much help as I can get :)

I'm having issues with parts warping inconsistently.
A run down of things that I've tried thus far are: Re-level bed (both paper and read method) Clean the plate and FEP Check that FEP is properly tuned Parts are angled 10ish degrees (depends on part exactly how much it's tilted) - Question on this later. Supports are auto support in Prusa Slicer then manually edited as needed. Here is a screen of the plate I'm currently trying to build: https://imgur.com/a/6ASRKE9 The two parts on the sides print fine, the center piece is my problem and warps severely and the supports are snapping off. Print settings: https://imgur.com/a/63IXEr4 Question about tilting parts... I understand that having the least amount of surface area contacting the FEP is optimal and that is why we tilt our parts, however the base portion of the supports is still flat and printing flat to the plate. Aren't we creating the same issue we are eliminating by tilting the part by having to put so many supports and essentially creating a flat raft on the plate anyway?

Need some advice.

My prints even after cleaning are incredibly sticky. There's almost no chance that it's residual resin because after a wash in cleaner, I'm curing these things overnight and then hit it even more with my UV flashlight for a good minute or two up close just to be thorough.

I'm assuming that it's the cleaner I'm using that's making it so sticky. I'm using the Mean Green that Uncle Jessey on Youtube recommended and a sonic cleaner (I saw the video about the heater and yes I'm no longer filling the tub with mean green or leaving the unit plugged in) but for now I'm just trying to make it not sticky.

I'm also driven to think it's the left over cleaner that's sticky because AFTER I cleaned it I thought "Okay it's safe to touch" and after handling it a bit, the skin on the tips of my fingers started to flake off a bit. A telltale sign that you're touching heavy-duty cleaning solutions. (Wearing gloves until I KNOW that it's clean now)

I've tried warm soap and water, cold water, washing it with IPA. Nothing seems to get this thing to not be super sticky.

I'm considering not using the green stuff anymore and switching back to 99% IPA. Give me your experiences/suggestions

Is this overexposed? .03 layer height, rotated 8 second exposure time. I'm ridiculously pleased with my support game ☺️ but not sure about the exposure still

Thanks again for all the responses yesterday regarding the concerns I had. Lot of great feedback.
A little history on me, I bought an M3D a few years ago to print some small structures for my model railroad. I think I probably had more failures than successes. I then bought a PowerSpec mini i3 duplicator from MicroCenter and had a much higher success rate. Even with both of those I've only printed <50 objects. All I've ever done is go to thingiverse and pull down the appropriate files and print (might explain my failures)
My wife got me the Photon for Valentines Day (pretty sweet I know). I printed the test file and love it. I tried to get an STL of the Eiffel Tower and print it because that's something I never had great success with my FDMs.
It seems critical that I use additional tools to make STL files Photon friendly.
I've installed Phton Workshop and Photon Slicer. I tried to import my Eiffel model into it and thought I had it figured out. When I take it to the printer to print, the Z Axis tried to keep going up higher than it can go as soon as I start the print and it fails. I have to go into the menu and hit emergency stop.
Can someone recommend a video series that might help educate me on the basics of file / model preparation for the Photon? Also, is there an STL library that is Photon friendly?
Looking forward to learning more from you.
