Is anyone making items to cast, and do you have any instructionals on how to do it to keep the fine details, or ensure it stays smooth with larger parts? I am wanting to experiment with aluminum casting, but I want to ensure that I get a clean, smooth cast.

Hi, I need a little help with prints sagging.

First picture is my product so you know what you're looking at. In the 2nd picture with the scale you can see the corners closest to the scale kinda bow away from the scale. When you look at the anycubic supports picture, I circled the corners where this sagging occurs so you can get a better visualization (picture upside down to simulate how it's hanging off the print table). Also i'm seeing the lines across the print and the end view of the rail car shows this. also the entire car is sorta skewed because of the sagging. I posted my settings as well. I ran the exposure test for the 2-20 second tests to determine the best exposure for this anycubic gray. The test came out between 14-16s per layer looked the best. Any help is appreciated. I"m almost thinking i might have to divide this thing up into pieces and assemble at the end. I'm potentially going to print 15-20 of these if I can get them to come out better. Thanks!

I’ve been doing some test prints of a base topper design I’m working on and couldn’t get the exposure dialed in... then noticed significant uneven exposure. ?
I’m trying to debug this problem, and could use some help.
This is on an original Photon, so is this the LCD starting to fail? Or maybe the UV light becoming uneven?

Thanks for accepting me. I am a 3D sculptor and a client just sent me a Photon this morning as a surprise. As a complete non techy person expect me to ask for help a lot :) Will be unboxing tomorrow and setting the little beauty up.

I've had my printer a couple of months now and finally getting consistent prints after reading the info in this group.

Here's my latest, it's a low poly Buddha that I extracted from the game Hitman Codename 47. I initially didn't mean to print it so small but I liked it so printed another 5 progressively smaller versions.

So i have a slicing/preparation type of question where i wonder how most of you deal with similar issues:

I use prusaslicer to autosupport my models then use validator and if necessary i also manually add some additional supports here or there. This works so-so depending on the model most of the times but certain times like today again i run into the issue that there are a few places where the support releases during print due to the forces i assume at certain smaller points. This in turn results in flattened deformed parts for a period of time after which maybe the print recovers and continues to print normally.

Now the generic answer would be use stronger/more supports however after the fact that is obviously clear but beforehand i have often no indication why certain territories would fail like this. I.e. the area in question was a new small island that was being started on top of a piece of support to which later on more supports would've connected. However for one reason or another the support for this area broke while on similar areas where arguably there were bigger pieces (not necessarily already connected to the main body) remained intact just fine.

Obiously after the fact and the fail i know what i need to do to make sure a second print would not fail again at the same place BUT how can i detect problematic areas like this beforehand and already add more supports on the first go? Validator does not help with this as stated above. Prusa autosupport said it would be fine.

I want to avoid to add tons of unecessary extra supports to the surface of my prints everywhere.

Or is it a total crapshoot for everyone else as well? Its always a bummer when after a 7h print you have a 90-95% perfect print apart from a few areas that were ruined by something like this.

Newbie here so bare with me - have been using my PhotonS for a few weeks and in general working ok - tried to go a bit more advanced and to use supports rather printing flat and did not work as expected - used Prusa slicer to auto orient the pieces and auto a supports but the results have not been good - have a look at pics - any ideas? "Cube base" came out well the rest not so good!

Ok guys, so I ordered a Photon directly from Anycubic on January 19, as part of their New Years sale. On the Arrive app is showing as shipped but up to this date it hasn’t arrived. Have any of you have a similar experience? Is it normal for it to take this long? I sent them a message buy they haven’t responded yet. Any thoughts?
