First print after using the settings derived from the amazing, Photon S Exposure Finder. Took about 30 minutes to do the test start to finish. I highly recommend this if you have the S and are struggling to find the right settings.

If I stupidly added supports to a model at the wrong size (that is, I meant to scale it up to 150% of its size but I didn't realize I added supports at 100%), can I export it with supports from Chitubox as an STL, and then size it up afterwards?

PROBLEM SOLVED. THANKS!

I have uploaded 2 screen shots to illustrate my problem. I hope you can help me.

I have designed part of a building in Blender. It consists of 4 walls with siding, windows and a door. One of the screen shots shows it as it appears in Blender. You can see that it has no ceiling or floor, just the walls. I export it as an STL file.

The next screen shot is from Chitubox, showing the imported STL file after I added supports for printing. All is well at this point. No ceiling, no floor. I slice it and export it as a .photon file, and the File Validator says "Whoopee."

Then I print the photon file and get a print that has a solid ceiling and floor, which traps a load of resin.

I have gone back to the File Validator and close inspection shows a 16-layer ceiling and a 16-layer floor, which is invisible in Blender or Chitibox. Is their a way to prevent this, short of using the File validator to delete the ceiling and floor, pixel by pixel?

SIGH... So I have a new problem with my original Photon: My LCD started going out, so I replaced it. Yay, not an issue. The issue is that the Touchscreen lost the little cable clip that holds the ribbon cable from the mainboard... So I'm probably going to have to buy a new touchscreen. I hate having to do that, and the only place I've seen one is on Fepshop in the Netherlands. I'm in Texas. Bleh.

Does anyone know a part number for the clip? Or maybe a place in the US that sells replacement screens?

Bleh.

Here is an odd one. The print was totally fine, much to my delight and surprise. Printed at .04 layer height and 10 sec. exposure, Elegoo grey. Any ideas why this happened? Bed is level and FEP seems fine, hasn't happened on the last 5+ prints.

OK I've had no problem running the exposure test in the past, but I just ran it at 30micron with Dragon Grey resin... and this is what I got. Kinda... not working lol. Any ideas what I could adjust or what I could fix to get it to come out?

Requesting some input!
The problem:
Anycubic Skin refuses to adhere to the buildplate.
It just gets cured to the bottom of the vat on the FEP.
Dragon Resin Grey is adhering and printing successfully without issue. Anycubic Skin will not, regardless of exposure settings.

Troubleshooting:
- FEP was replaced several prints ago - prints remained successful afterwards when printing in Grey resin.
- I have tried several different exposure settings and 2 different objects. Skin Always fails.
- I have re-leveled the build plate.
- Printed the same test objects, using my Dragon Resin (Grey), with success The Grey adheres to the print bed without issue. The Anycubic Skin does not.
-Temperature of the room is maintained using a space heater between 60-75 degrees
- Resin is stored in a comfortable indoor temperature (72 degrees)
- Resin is always shaken before pouring

Test Object:
- Test object is a flat disk-like pendant that is printed flat against the build plate. this test object has printed successfully numerous times in two other types of resin.
- I have also printed other objects with success in grey, that skin fails. I have yet to have a single successful print in Skin.
My thoughts:
> I do not think this is a leveling issue.
> My only conclusion is, do I have a bad bottle of resin?
> Anycubic Skin was purchased via Amazon
> Anycubic Skin has a lot of bubbles after shaking, but it's less viscous than Dragon Resin so it may not indicate any problem but I'll mention it anyways.
Successful Grey print settings (A little overexposed but at least it adhered)but Trying the same in Skin yielded no success.
Normal Exposure: 15sec
Offtime: 7 sec
Base Exposure: 70sec
Base Layers: 8

Failed Skin settings:
Normal Exposure: 5sec
Offtime: 2sec
Base Exposure: 50sec
Base Layers: 8sec

Anycubic

Hello, I need help. My prints have been failing.

My very first print was a success, but the bottom was half-off the BP once it was done. My second print been a disaster in three attempts.

First attempt resulted in the print separating from the BP and falling into the Vat. Removed the failed print, chalked it up to weak base, added more supports, cleaned BP, and printed again.

The second attempt was worse. It never stuck to the build plate. Removed failed print, returned resin to bottle, cleaned up vat and BP, Levelled BP and rezeroed, reapplied resin to vat.

Same issue with the third print. At this point, I’m just scratching my head and wondering why my recent prints aren’t working.

Bottom exposure time is 80s and normal exposure time is 10s. Printer is located in the basement and the window is open to let out the smell, although it’s chilly b/c of Canadian winters. Resin is Nova3D Resin.

Suuuuper dumb question. If I'm having a hard time getting my prints off the build plate, should I reduce my bottom layer exposure time?
