Looking at purchasing soon. I have done research but am still undecided. I get this is an anycubic page but I'll daringly ask anyway.
For you mars and photon owners which have you favored?
Is the photon s software proprietary? I am confused because I thought photon software in general was to be more "open".

Just wanted to say thanks to this entire community. Hubby and I are newbie 3D printers. I’ve been FDM printing for less than a year and we decided to upgrade from the mono price mini to resin printing with the photon zero. We have not had much success with prints, but the help here has made troubleshooting each variable in the print process tolerable! So, thanks :)

so I tried adding auto supports following 3d printed table top's video on youtube using PrusaSlicer auto supports, then exporting as STL with supports, opening in chitubox and slicing, and printing. Unfortunately the model detached from the supports and failed. Given this is such a popular method, is there anything I probably missed as a beginner with resin printing? The key caps I printed from the Photon Slicer with auto supports from it printed just fine

Anycubic photon zero. I’m at about 33% successful prints. I’ve tried tightening the fep, rezeroing, increasing exposure times, and today it failed in the same way, by sticking to the fep instead of the supports... but the supports printed beautifully! Any ideas?

I decided to actually use the Photon file validator. I'm on the fixing the file part, and either it's getting stuck or it takes a really long time to fix. What's the standard amount of time for a detailed model to fix the pixels on?

Color: Grey or any translucent color Low odor Available in EU Reson for the Poll: I unfortunatley did not find any webshop that provides the convenience of a good faceted search, so maybe you can help me any help is appreciated. I currently run my Photon with FormFutura Resing in Translucent-Aquamarine, the color is amazing, but 20 sec. exposure time on 0.05 mm layers is not. 翻譯年糕

Well going by what the anycubic tech team said I need a new motherboard. There are quite a few scattered around the net which they say are compatible and they vary so much in price. Has anybody brought one that they know works and could they provide a link please?

Hey all,

I recently tried to update my Photon S from v2.9.5 to v3.4.1 on restart, before i could update the UI from v2.6 to v2.6 the printer freezes up after a USB stick is inserted. Whether from power on or after. If I power on without a USB stick, i can navigate menus etc. which is obviously useless without the USB drive.

There's and indicator light labeled "d6" located centrally on the motherboard that flashes until it detects a drive, at which point the machine locks up. I've been unable to locate any documentation for this motherboard.

I worked with Anycubic, they had me format a few drives, and then skipped straight to replacing the motherboard. While I absolutely appreciate them sending me one, and hope it's on it's way soon, I'd love it if i could recover this one.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the motherboard to flash the firmware if i can't access the menus to "print" the .bin files? The motherboard i have is v1.4.0 and includes an Ethernet port, but so far, i've been unable to identify a way to interface with the motherboard outside of the touch display.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

** Yes i'm aware 5.0.2 is out, and i should have updated to that. I'd love to, but can't "print" any firmware files currently. Hence the search for an alternate interface.

Printed out shift dice for Gaslands today. I was supposed to print 6 but two stuck to the FEP. The remaining 4 turned out pretty well, did some light sanding on the sides that had support. They seem to roll okay, so not sure if I will use them as is or look into making molds from them.
