I’m having a bit of an issue with the printer. I have done a few successful prints and have beep pretty happy with the results. However, the latest print i tried stuck to the FEP and not the build plate. I have re levelled the build plate using the paper method, but now every time I hit the home button it stops about 1mm high. I think I’ve tried to re-zero the printer but is still stops high. I think this may be the cause of the failing prints. When I press the confirm button there is no confirmation beep.
Any ideas on how to solve this?
Thanks.

Hello group,

I am running a bit frustrated this weekend at not being able to produce prints so I will request your assistance.

I order my Anycubic Photon along with 500ml of clear resin. Wonderfull, made great prints (other not so great :P but its part of process). After struggling a bit with a hole in the FEP I decided to order new film and more resin (Anycubic Green).

This is were my issues start. I replaced the film and even though I did not remove the plastic cover that comes with it I managed to perfect batches of prints to finish the Clear resin. Then I realized there was the plastic cover so I removed and poured the new Green resin.

From then every print now sticks to FEP regardless of what I do.Reading around for solutions I change the print setting to something more apropriate to that particular resin, I have tensioned my FEP film properly, and I made sure that I have enough temperature (unfortunatelly can't get near optimal at this time of year but I have printed with colder so it should still work) and still it sticks to FEP. Even more odd to me was that in one of my now 6 attempts or so, one of the figures actually stuck to the plate and I got a beatiful Artisan's guild Dwarf perfectly printed. His hands and backpack (separate pieces) on the other side got stuck to FEP.

I am wasting alot of time and some resin with this ? after the last batches of Clear resin I was so happy I finally had a nice setup and was ready to start printing more intesively and another obstacle hinder my way.

Any thoughts on how I can fix this?

Thanks in advance

Hey folks, hoping someone can shed light on my issue. I’ve had my photonS for over a year, it runs well and I barely ever have an issue that I can’t resolve quickly. My screen recently crapped out so I replaced it and since doing so cannot get a print to stick to the bed if my life depended on it.

I’ve tried re-levelling the bed numerous times
My machine is perfectly level
The new screen works properly
I’m using resin I’m experienced with
Haven’t had any luck on different resins either
I tried re-sanding the bed on a perfectly flat surface to 220grit

I’m at a loss.... any ideas?

Last time I printed my ocarina, in anycubic clear, I had the layer thickness at .1, bottom exposure set to 60, normal exposure set to 15, and the project came out very yellow, and took 8 hours.

I want to speed it up, and get rid of the yellow hue, as much as possible. I'm considering a second print at 50 bottom exposure, and 10 normal exposure. Should take about 6 hours. Would this be cutting too many corners, or nah?

I was just given a photon. I've done some initial prints, and things didn't go well. After digging deeper, it seems the LCD screen has gone bad. The person I got it from said they had an issue and the well leaked and spilled all over. They had to clean it out. I assume it was during this cleaning that the screen went bad.

Besides replacing the screen, is there anything else I should check to make sure is ok? Are there any "must do" tweaks? I've seen a few online, but they don't seem very important.

Any idea what would cause this? It's like some party of the layer just didn't print.

New videos today. I'm actually taking requests for tutorial topics. So please recommend anything you can think of. I do both resin and FDM printing.

Hi guys
Really weird fact... I used anycubic green translucent resin delivered with my photon s since the beginning. 8 sec exposure and all went fine...
I switch to anycubic clear and did the exposure test with both the green old resin and the clear.
You can see the results.
It seems details on the green one is much less good. (I just colored the clear one to see it better)
I just see the old resin is much more dense and viscous...
so considering that I was happy the my old resin but here I see much better resolution with the new one...
How should I interpret that and how much I should expose the clear one?
Thanks
