Anycubic Photon Printer Owners 造訪社團 » EVA

I received my printer a couple of weeks ago and have completed a few prints. I purchases the eSun Water Washable resin with my printer thinking it would be a bit easier than dealing with IPA. I have seen a few posts about semi-safely disposing the water afterwards but was wondering if I could get some kind of consensus. I am planning to do the following: Place any resin contaminated water in a plastic container outside to evaporate. Once done, dispose of any of the remaining cured resin with my trash. Is that an okay approach or would anyone recommend something different? Thanks in advance!

I've run an exposure test but I'm having trouble deciding which column looks the best. Perhaps the kind folks here could be of assistance?
I'm going to be printing 28mm miniatures for the most part if that is relevant.

Never mind the white fluff, that just seems to be from the paper towel.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Giving thanks to the amazing artists in our community bringing unbelievable creations we can all print at home! Of course to family and friend and everyone else who's not a jerk! I thought of one more tip on supporting models that I could share today as well! This one can really help with some difficult to support bits so please take a look :)

Are there any guides on the best way to tear down and clean out the printer after a resin spill? I just discovered that one of my kids tipped my printer backwards with a freshly filled vat of resin in it spilling resin out, which leaked down into the printer and out the bottom. Grrr, sometimes kids just are willfully ignorant when you tell them to leave something alone and stay away from something potentially dangerous.

I don't know how much resin is in the inner works, but thankfully I didn't have a print in progress so it didn't cure inside of it. I had a failed print yesterday due to my model's supports getting elevated above the build plate about half a mm in Chitubox. Only a single support base was touching the plate. Not sure how that happened, but I had just finished redoing the supports as some were above and some where below the build plate and was just going down to restart the print.

I'm sure I can tear it down, I'm a pretty mechanically inclined type, just wanting to know if there are any potential pitfalls in taking it apart.

A little off from what this group is about but I know that DnD Minis are very prevalent in the lives of SLA printers but I was looking around and need an opinion on if there's room in the market or even demand for low poly dnd models?

Total noob here. Just got my first printer, the Photon. They were out of the translucent green and didn't send any resin, but will send it when it's back in stock. So I went on Amazon and bought the cheapest Anycubic resin. Not sure why different colors are different prices, but it was 500ml of maroon.

I'm guessing this is the culprit for my constant failed prints, as I consistently get up to about 1 mm of the foundation of the print stuck on the FEP. I've tried every leveling method I can find, have tuned the FEP to 330 Hz, shaken the resin, tried the exposure finder by x3msnake, done a few dances, prayers, and sacrifices. No dice.

When you press Home in the z-move section, is it supposed to go down, beep twice, come back up a few mm, then go back down to home? I've wiggled paper under while doing this, as it acts like it's sensing too much pressure (like a garage door), but it doesn't pinch the paper. It does this every time when going home, or beginning a print. Not sure if it's relevant at all. especially as the first number of layers does seem to print fine.

Hey all, this is probably really aussie specific, but how do I dispose of my supports, failed print's and IPA/resin runoff?

I know I need to cure them first (and let the IPA evaporate), but can the printer waste just be thrown into the red bin? Or do I need to recycle it? Or is it another thing entirely?

My 11 years old son sculpted this in VR in half an hour or so. I've added some details in Zbrush and thanks to the Photon, he has his self-made miniature. Wonderful what tech can made achievable this days! ? - some highlights of the process: https://youtu.be/H3a9BfOVyWw

she wanted dangle earrings so I made these for her. Simple and sweet. the X's were difficult to finish with all the small crevasses so they aren't perfect, but I do like how they came out.
