When your BFF goes to Kroger at the buttcrack of dawn. She sees they restocked and knows I’m almost out and freaking out. 9 bottles SCORE!

Mine! All MINE!! ? ? ?

Edit: stop being jerks and assuming you know my business it’s rather rude to say the least especially the one jerk! I don’t just use this for the 5+ prints I make daily and those runs usually have numerous pieces on the plate. My business does and is not just 3D printing. I already was using this all day every day and I can’t recycle it for my other use. So thanks to those assuming I’m a stupid hoarder. You’re an amazing person for tearing others down that you don’t know!

Crazy new issue with my Photon!

It seams to be eating USB flash drives alive!! It's formatted them in a weird way or outright corrupted them as 3 of them no longer register on my pc, laptop or the Photon itself. Before I shell out for another flash drive or contact support, does anyone have advise or experience with this bizare issue?

Would love to have some happy news and cool prints to share with this group as apposed to faults with an otherwise incredible machine!

Thanks in advance!

I'm working on a wolf art doll that will have a plush body with resin head, ears and paws!

From 3D Model, to print, to mold, to resin cast!

I love my Anycubic Photon. I can make art dolls and resin casts from my printed models so much faster than sculpting traditionally! (even if my print had a few errors...)

Some thoughts on my new AnyCubic Wash & Cure station.

The Good:

The concept is great. Having an all in one unit that can wash and cure and be super flexible in doing so is a great dream. We all know how messy this can get and within the first 24 hours I can see how it reduces the mess in a big way.

The Size is great. Bigger than my sonic cleaner. Holds more fluid (IPA, Mean Green, Super Clean). The inner plastic reservoir with sealed top is great. The fact that you can support numerous Resin printers other than the Photon series with little to no modifications and a basket is a huge plus.

One of my concerns was the amount of turbulence associated with the basket being so close to the impeller. To combat this all I dd was put more liquid in the tub and it seemed to lower the turbulence down enough where it didn't break delicate miniatures with extended swords. Scientifically I am not sure I understand the physics of it but it seems to be accurate.

CONS

Ok here is where the machine fails to meet my needs. The cycle times are rubbish. 6 minutes max for both wash and cure. Why 6 minutes? I did 5 tests of washing with the mean green maxed in volume. It took 12 minutes before I felt anything was clean (in the basket). 18 minutes and it was clean. Same result with IPA. I would rather have a timer I could set to the time I want instead of 2, 4 or 6 minutes.

As for curing. The lights are NOT ENOUGH. One strip of lights and one bottom section of light required 5 cycles of curing (30 minutes) to get the items to cure fully. My UV nail dryer has 60w of power in a tighter area 4 bulbs and reflectors everywhere. It takes me 30 minutes in that machine to fully cure, sometimes 60 minutes (depending on the rotation of the parts. The rotating plate is cool, but the amount of light is just terrible. They should have made the entire riser arm full of bulbs. I can see how it would hold 7 rows of lights. Add some reflective material in the cover and I am sure it would cut down the curing process to a single session with user controlled time.

Such a great concept. Such a fantastic try at a first run. A few models from now this might be a winner but to me, this is just not up to par. Granted this is the opinion of someone who has only been printing with resin for a year, and has both the Photon and the Epax 3D. All I have ever used is a sonic cleaner and a UV nail light. I love the wash. It could more powerful. I hate the cure. Needs to be much more powerful. The timer...it is just crap. What was Anycubic thinking. I give it 2 stars out of 5.

Hello!

I'd love to share the latest easy to print designs I sculpted on Zbrush printed on my Anycubic photon and also the original renders so you can compare and see how well a STL translate into a 3D print, preserving all the details.

The models are mostly supportless and the big ooze is pre-supported, they were printed in 0,03 mm layer height, printed in two different sizes. The bigger ones were primed in order to highlight details. You can also check all the models together in a smaller size for tabletop games.

Seriously, this machine is awesome! I'm considering upgrade to the Anycubic photon S soon. If you have any question related please let me know!

Cheers,

Leo.

My first technical fail. The build plate came loose and unlevelled. So the base is uneven and there is a layer shift some 4 cm up. So will need to re-level and tighten that srew better.
At the same time I'm very impressed. Apart from the layer shift the print quality is great! (0.01 mm, 7 s main layers, 60 s baselayer, Anycubic Green Transparent that came with the machine.) Two spots where I need to move a support (Thank You 3DPrintingPro), but other than that actually a great print.
So thank you all for the advice you give here and on other platforms.

Taking a tip from the saying “when you have a hammer, everything looks like a nail”, I decided NOT to 3D print a funnel holder for my resin. I had some PVC pipe and joints laying around, so I crafted one that works well.

I do not need to create a holder for the vat, as I use a little rubber scraper and scrape the resin out in a couple seconds. Anyway, this works well, so I thought I would share. I do prop the back of it a bit to help it lean over the bottle.

Need some help here folks. These are tires I am trying to print for casting in rubber resin. I am trying to narrow down why the printer is filling in the center of the tires. They look fine in autocad 123d, mesh mixer, and in chitubox, but when I printed them, the center where the wheels go is printing solid. I am also having this issue with a set of wheels, but the wheels will have one or 2 thin layer print across the entire center opening. I am able to get out the thin layers with an exacto on those however.

Is this issue from mesh mixer, chitubox, or my printers firmware? And these are first prints so I will need to play with exposure settings and the parts are fully cured. Thank you in advance for the help folks
