Anycubic Photon Printer Owners 造訪社團 » UV

Fresh newb here trying to get my first print to stick. A few things.

1. I'm using the stock Anycubic 3D Printing UV Sensitive Resin wavelength 405nm (I have tried printing on the green that comes with it, but I also have grey and black).

2. I've shaken the resin extremely well.

3. When leveling the print bed, I was able to get a sheet of paper and do the appropriate leveling according to the directions.

Question: When it says "Feel resistance" what would you say is the correct amount? I've read that some people do it till the paper barely moves, some do it till there is only a little drag on the paper.

4. I confirmed with the UV Detection that it is coming on.

5. I tried printing on the "standard" settings Layer: .05 | Norm. Exposure: 10 | Off-Time: 1 | Bottom Exposure: 65 | Bottom Layer: 8

Question: For medium quality prints (an example I'm trying to print is a miniature mug about 15mm high) what would your ideal settings be?

Right now I seem to be simply getting build up on the bottom of the vat, no adhesion to the platform.

Any input would be great, would love to get a successful first print. :)

Hello fellow Photonstrers. Have just updated the firmware. Did a UV Detection test and voilá... the image below. Has this ever happened to anyone else? If so what may be the cause? Is there any way to fix this?

How crucial is even curing?

I'm asking as I've noticed most of my prints have started to warp (looking at them side on the sides are curling slightly upwards). My curing station is quite budget being just a shoebox lined with tinfoil and a UV bulb hovering over the top. I turn the print every 10 minutes or so but still, one side would be getting cured first.

I'm going to make a curing station with a bucket and some UV strip in the next week but I'm curious, has anyone else had similar problems?

Thanks ?

Report:
Photocentric3D UV DLP High Tensile

Having heard a lot of bad things about Photocentric3D resins, I decided to give it a try - to my knowledge it's by far the strongest resin on the market.

I need the strength since my parts are a landing gear for a fast 3.5 kg model aircraft.

I was very sceptical because of many negative comments about Phtocentric3D resins on this board.

Settings:
0.05mm/35 sec/2 sec/55 sec/10 bottom layers
20 deg C.

Result:
Hardly any smell, the parts can be cleaned in clear water, cure time I've tried so far is 20 minutes under UV light.
IPA cleaning only needed at the very end to remove some minor surface tack that remained after curing. I would use this resin in my living room.

Very, very strong, very hard surface (after curing it's nearly impossible to cut), yet slightly flexible, not brittle at all. A lot stronger (35% more tensile strength) and more rigid than the PA12 that I used for the same parts when I ordered them from Shapeways.

Takes a long time to print, of course (3:45 hours for the part shown). Very easy to remove from the platform. No measurable shrinking. Hole diameter very precise, even for deep 1.5mm holes.

The attached pictures are my first attempot with that resin.
They speak for themselves. The smallest details have a depth of 0.15 mm.

My opinion about that resin: Absolutely perfect.

Hi guys, i know we had this subject allready , but hopefully someone might help.
I had my đonocure rapid clear turn yellowish when curing. I cured with a nail polish UV lamp an was told it waseueto itnot being 405 nm only....

I bought a 405n only (picture bellow), and the prints turned out even more yellow than with the nail polish :D (another picture bellow) ...

So my question is ... Can someone share a guide how to cure monocure raoid clear to stay white transparent and not turn yellow ??? Thank you. And please dont say "use a 405nm light only" since i am using it :D :D and clear IPA, non contaminated, dark room ;)

Hi, I'm quite new to 3d printing with resin and got a few questions:

1. After cleaning a printed part with IPA and water, is it still toxic until it is fully cured with UV- or sun light?

2. What UV lights could you recommend? Is there a good video out there that has a recommendation how to build a UV curing chamber?

3. The build volume in the photon slicer settings are a bit different from what the printer specifications say. 68.04 x 120.96 x 150 compared to 65 x 115 x 155. Are the settings correct or should they be changed?

Hello everyone so I have come across my first problem with the photon. I have nothing showing when I run the uv light test, it is completely black. I was wondering what could be the problem the LCD screen or something else. I have not replaced the LCD screen and it worked perfectly fine on the last print. If anyone has any ideas on what it could be feel free to let me know. Thank you.

The world's most janky UV curing box? Maybe.
But it works and I'll build a pretty one later.

Does anyone here have any tips or tricks I should know for version 2.0?
