Hi guys, are we sure that Anycubic yellow shields really stops UV rays ? I performed a little test placing a dental curing UV lamp beyond shields of my three Photons : the first and the 2nd have been hacked, as I changed the original blue shields with red (monray style) and orange shields (like Form2). The last Photon, S model, have original yellow. I took a photo from the opposite side of the lamp. I leave you every consideration........

DIY: Photon UV lamp fan replacement. The superlazy way.

Happy photon owner here and this is my first post in this group.

I´ve found that the tiny stock fan for the UV lamp is rather noisy so here you got how I have just replaced it. A rather simple and cheap mod that helps our photons run quieter and cooler.

Needing help... Printer has been working well up until the other day, I set it to print something and left. Starting hearing it make a beep about every second or so, so I checked on it and the print was not going past 1%. Did some investigating and when I try to print something, the LCD screen will flash along with the beeps. Did the UV test and the box flashes once and then never reappears. I also discovered that some of my earlier files (only three of them) will work correctly and everything else does this, even if I've successfully printed them before. I wash my parts in an IPA bath for 30 to 60 seconds, wait until parts are dry and place parts under UV lamp. Parts are a bit tacky even after a long time under the UV lamp. What am I doing wrong here?

Hey group. Just wondering about I’ve lights and curing as I always seem to be doing my prints in the middle of the night. Found someone local selling the linked UV lamp below. It says full spectrum 380-760nm.
Will this work? And any perceived downsides? The price is decent so I’m really interested but don’t want to get either a useless lamp or one that will ruin my prints.

Hi all, i’ve just finished my first print with my new Photon S and all was going well, but.. I washed the vat using alcohol and paper towel as the manual recommended, and at the end, the FEP film does not look fine at all. It’s blurred and less clear than before. Honestly I was hoping this behaves similarly to a window glass which can be wiped to quite clear.
Does this affect the print quality in the future? I mean the UV light should go across the film properly and this blur might cause issues.. or?..

So I have a few prints with Elegood grey done (the one that says "ABS strong" on the box or something similar). I've noticed that the prints always remain a bit sticky. Not like resin sticky but just a little bit. This is after long curing of 20 or 30 minutes under UV lamps and sitting outside for a few days. Is this normal?

Just wondering about upgrading the uv light source. Is it a thing? Is it worth it?

I’ve seen uv arrays on sale to upgrade the epax. As far as I’m aware the board is the same in both machines, so that replacement should naturally work in the Photon too, no? I’m guessing this would then mean I’d have to also get a better fan as well?

I’ve already sorted out the z rail thanks to Simon Jackson’s kit. The uv array seems like the only other significant difference between this and the Photon S
