Coming from 4x FDM printers, and long time commission printer. I can easily calculate that FDM printing can be charged directly to printer time ($ per printing hour).

Today I got my Photon, and obviously printing per hour is now out the window with this little guy.

Does anyone here charge per milliliter? If so, how was your calculation done to include all consumables and your own time?

Hi everyone, I have a question: does anyone know what is max temperature of exploitation for FunToDo resin (not IB)

I'm going to print a part that placed close to hot end of FDM printer.

I want to buy my first resin printer. I already own a fdm prusa mk2s so that would be my second printer.

I dunno between (or give me more options):
- elegoo mars (249€)
- photon (299€)
- epax x1 (499€)

I put the epax cause I know is a bigger volume, more stable z, dunno if is a must for a nice experience but price goes up.

the photon a lot of support and help here, nice price, nice printing quality, smaller printing area.

elego mars: is the cheapest. would be a nice entry in this world. I fear in the next months something really better will comes out in resin printer. so maybe it's a good choice to get the cheapest one (but rated like the photon they said)

I have question about printing something with details but in bigger size then miniatures .
I have 4 creality cr-10 but usually use them for cosplay costumes. Now I have base from Halo Wars 2 and thinking about buying my first Anycubic Photon for this project. When I am checking size of the base I think middle part will be from FDM printers but rest of details from resin.
I know that you most of you are making holow models but what about printing parts like this legs from base?
Can you advice me what will be the best way to print this base with details using Photon printer? Also what resin you advice ? I can cut this base in many pieces so no problem with assembly it after printing
Base is 40cm long

I need to print some bondtech bmg housings for my other printers. Was thinking of doing it on an FDM but thought the photon would offer better precision. What do people think of using it for this application?
