Looks like you have a failed support and that is the bottom of it. Most likely it failed and was stuck to the fep and finally came lose and was attached to the print when it broke loose.

It failed to stick to the base. Maybe increase base time by 10 seconds. Also make sure it's clean, and level

Yup. Their priority is all medical and essential items. Any order the last 3-4 weeks gives you a message letting you know before you order.

I don't get something from amazon every day, but I'd say most days lately with everything going on. I've had every delivery go off without a hitch. About half the time its coming from the regular mail carrier. Is your front door accessible? Do you have a big dog or something?

Undeliverable/return to Amazon is a carrier problem. Sounds like they are leaving the Amazon facility fine.

Also, call their customer service. See what they say.

Mike Michaels oh yeah it never even gets to my city...And us stopped in all different locations. So far it’s only with Amazon’s own specific delivery...things coming from Amazon and shipped via UPS, US mail etc get here just fine.

That's weird that they are turning the packages around. I don't think that's related to the shipping delays they've introduce to better handle shipping essentials.

Have you jumped in an Amazon support chat to ask for more info? They usually keep notes as to why they turned the shipment around

Tim Borschel it happen sometime. The grubscrew loosen a bit. When it happen there is chance your print will still work. Relevel and thats it. ?

I have a Photon S and my plate is a bit like yours. My prints was failed last night. A line across all over the plate. Do you think the plate is not square caused this?

Sitong Yan not sure, relevel and make sure its square and see if it's still there, might be a bad slice or a problem with the lcd

Tim Borschel someone also said that it’s the slicing issue. I use chitubox all the time. Haven’t known it will cause this.

I have seen this slicing issue happen with one particular model. No matter how I oriented it it always had a weird line defect about the middle.

3d printer stuff is under the "Industrial & Scientific" section on Amazon, they claim there is no delay with items of this and a few other categories.

All my Amazon orders for the past couple of weeks have consistently given an estimated arrival time of three weeks from the day I placed the order, but most of them have shipped within a few days, and arrived one or two days after that.

i used an old christmas popcorn tin. was about to toss it.

I had a paper towel magnet attached on the inside of this paint can to use as a acetone vapor bath chamber for when I print ABS, but I rarely need polished ABS prints since I got the Photon.

That's what I've done, just in a large flower pot and rotating jewellery stand at the bottom.
I quite like the Wash and Cure station, but that thing costs more than my damn printer lol

I already have an ultrasonic cleaner with Simple Green, then a tupperware container of IPA for rinse. I am good on "wash" but was needing to set everything out on my back driveway to cure it.

Just make sure the LEDs put out 405nm uv.

They're rated for 395-405nm, so far they seem to be doing the trick.

This problem seems super common as people repeatedly are posting it. I’m guessing it may be stock USB issue? Are you using OG USB?

Danny Gonzalez no, ditched the stock usb after seeing all the issues others have had. Am using a name brand USB that I haven’t had any issues with before

If you think it is an issue with the LCD, do a quick Exposure test. Otherwise it looks to me like it might be you exposure times. What resin are you using and what exposure settings?

Hurrmph, no clue then. It happened to one of my prints and then I just resliced and reprinted and worked fine, so unsure...

Francisco Quesada you know, you might be right. I forgot that I sliced this on my other computer which probably was using different resin settings.

Ed Bindl I switched from translucent to black resin and was having some similar issues, but I also had a failed LCD at the time which created holes in prints. I have changed the exposure setting on that resin (on a different printer) and have been having good results

Try some fresh resin. That worked for me.

Mike Ni okay so here's a question when somebody says update the firmware if I pulled a successful print off of it yesterday and today it does this how can it be the firmware. not saying the firmware doesn't need to be updated just how can the firmware be the problem from one day to the next?

You can increase the off time in the setting to have more time for the resin to settle.

I would try putting this face flat on the build plate, then running support trees up each side. I don't have Prusa slicer installed at work at the moment, so I can't whip up a proper sample of what I mean, but I'll be happy to show you what I'm thinking when I get home this-evening.

More Z lift and lots of off time! Should help

Oh, and the op I'm thinking of is trivial to do the supporting for in Prusa, and a pain in the ass to do on ChiTu or the Anycubic slicer.

With all the failed prints you’ve had you could have already printed multiplies of these standing straight up.

If you can PM me the STL I'll try and get Prusa slicer installed at work actually. Kinda quiet at the moment, can probably get some cheeky moonlighting in ;)

Printing your own version of a Maker Knife?

I wanted to post that meme but I didn't think a version of it existed lol, also sounds good to increase the flow of time. If I can figure that out and I will try using that front part as the flat surface. Thanks everyone :) Also this will just be the face plate not the whole thing though there is a version that was made for 3d printing that I had printed out multiple times

Travis Lewis every large surface that runs parallel to the FEP in your VAT will create a large force pulling it off the buildplate.
Strong enough to pull the build off the supports too.

Lift 1 corner up say, 25 degrees or print it vertical.
Then the supports will do their work, provided you placed enough and large enough supports.

Maybe a resin printer isn't the best tool for the job. An FDM printer or using a laser cutter might work better?

Honestly probably would have been better to make it out of acrylic, though I do not have any and I wanted it to be see through so fdm wasn't that viable. As well I finally got it to print though probably took a chunk of my screens life with it, I had t o make the exposure time to 50 secs per layer and turned down the lift to 15. I know probably not the right way but it turned out great! Also thank you for everyone that has commented :)

This is why it's important to diversify one's maker portfolio. I would definitely print this part FDM.

David McGyver I like your selection of angle. The edge is good place for lots of med/heavy supports and some random light ones along the sides.

My plan is slightly more sneaky that that to help get the print time down. If you PM me the STL, I'll throw something quick together in Prusa slicer to show you what I mean... ;)

Nick Marincak This. Even if you only add a wash, your paint job will go from looking like, “That’s pretty good for a first time” to “I’m a paint GOD!”.

Seriously add a wash. You will be very pleased with the result.

Good first attempt, you could improve it drastically by adding a wash. Really washing is the first thing you should learn.

Agreed; in order of importance (imo) and generally in difficulty too:
1. Inking
2. Drybrushing
3. Layering / blending
4. Thinning and effective use of a wet pallet

Very nice! The tiny imperfections always look worse than they are in these close up shots, I bet it looks great on the tabletop!
