With Anycubic being on holiday till the 1st I'm hoping the community here might have some suggestions. I've been running 4.2.17 for a while now and recently started to experience frame shearing on the right side of the printer thats been getting progressively worse and thicker. I have attempted to upgrade to 4.2.18 (and 4.2.19 even though I've heard it has issues). However when attempting to upgrade and then run the UV check the entire screen just flickers and flashes making it impossible for me to print anything while running those two firmwares.

Has anyone run into this issue and found a way to get around it? I have just been using the left side of my printer at 4.2.17 but have some designs lined up that will require the entire print bed to be used and I don't want to deal with the frame shearing.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Just finished printing with some new usb sticks. specifically https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B014VM3GL2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
clicked the print button after it printed and it was empty. Plugged it into my PC and what a surprise, pc doesn't recognise it any more. This is the 4th usb stick this photon has killed. 翻譯年糕

I keep getting partially cured resin in parts of the vat where I'm not printing models. The models come out fine but I'm having to scrape my FEP clean and drain the vat every time.

I've seen people say this is a common issue with AnyCubic Green that they haven't had with opaque resins and others say that can't be the issue.

I know frame sheering is a thing and that a firmware update can fix it but am currently on the 4.6.18 firmware.

I've seen people suggest flashing the EPAX firmware to resolve this; is that... just a thing you can do by loading the EPAX firmware like I did the other firmware? Pretty sure I have an OG photon (could print .photon files out of the box).

Are there any other things that can cause this partially cured resin nightmare?

Thanks for the add.
After about five attempts and much frustration I pulled my first print from the build plate.

Might not look like much but this is the prototype for a new product in developing.

Hello champions of The fellowship of the Photon,

I have had to put my head on something for the weekend and this came out:
It's an upgrade to the draining bracket that you don't have to set up after each print. It just sits there, attached to the build plate so that you just have to
- release the build plate from the Z carriage,
- fix it in draining position.

OK i am old, 48 years as a bench jeweller. trying to prove you CAN teach an old dog new tricks.

Ok I did the sample cube, followed all the instrctions .. CAME OUT FANTASTIC. Made it small to save time..

Today i tried a ring..after 2 HOURS i could finally see under the build plate ( i put a bit too much resin in) and there was nothing there :(

I think that when i levelled the plate using the piece of paper method , i was over cautious?? with a 0.1mm down it was too tight and then 0.1mm up it was too loose.. I left it loose as i didnt want the Z to move down too far and break something.. When i clean out the tray tank the starting raft was attached to the plastic film.. Do you think that is why it didnt work . the build plate didnt lower enough to let the raft attach ??

Ive attached my 3 screen shots just in case i am doing somthing else glaringly obviously wrong..

would appreciate any one help if you dont mind please..

What is the "off time" of the google doc for? I use Chitubox and I'm not sure if it correspond to "light off delay" or soemthing else. Also what does it means?

Is it possible to print a M3 thread or is it better to print a 2,5mm hole and tap it.
