So I got my photon about a month ago and have been printing a bit, last night as I started a print the printer moved to the vat as normal but then refused to move up or down after that, I could hear the motor running but the z axis didn’t spin or move at all, cancelled the print and still didn’t move, I shut it off and turned it back on and was able to move the z axis home, then gave it another go on a different print and the same thing happened, this is my first resin printer so I don’t know much about the tech side of it aside from the actual resin curing process so if you could be detailed if you think you know what’s up that would be great, thanks a lot.

I am curious about something. It seems the #1 drawback of resin printers is the toxicity of the resins, yet it seems like there hardly any mention of the soy-based resins.

Am I missing something as to why it's not more popular?

Turned out almost perfect. Hasn’t been fully through the post processing. Just a quick bath and support removal before work.

Had a weird cape failure which I am chalking up to supports... I hope.

Over all impressed with the Polyjuice Grey! No fear of breaking it by looking at it wrong. Detail seems on point. Just have to figure out why the cape failed. It’s weird how everything around it, above and below printed near perfect. Maybe a mem stick issue?

Ok hive mind. Been printing tons of models on my Photon S without issue. Switched to Elegoo Grey and everything has gone to crap. I've tried adjusting settings, I've re-leveled with both the paper and Flint Read methods, I've changed the FEP, etc. This last print is the exposure test after yet another re-level. Any idea what might be happening?? Very frustrating after no issues for so long.
