Anycubic Photon Printer Owners 造訪社團

I have to admit I was skeptical of the wash/cure station. Had to refund a vacation so I indulged in some retail therapy and ordered one direct...I love this thing, lol.

Given the supply issues with iso at the moment this gives me a perfect excuse to buy a big hug of alternative cleaner to use with the stirring process ?

Does it justify the price?

Jon Hammersley
2020-03-21 20:37:16

Luke Lay if you haven't already built a DIY cure chamber and have the money, yes. I'm interested to see how well it cleans hollow parts (that's my biggest issue) but for 189 and free shipping if say yes.

Jenny Searcy

$189? I just got mine on ebay for $149free shipping arrived 1 week

It’s the little things that help in the world. Why some are trying to cash in on eBay, ANYCUBIC have been sending masks for free to customers.

Where do I get these?

Carla Birch
2020-03-23 07:10:46

Mika Gruszka contact Anycubic support and just ask and give proof you have bought something from them in the past. Be it via there site, aliexpress or amazon. I personally sent them a message on aliexpress as that’s where I got my printer from.

Mika Gruszka

I bought mine on Amazon. I'll try to contact them on there

Has anybody else tried making a mould from 3D printed items using two part high temp silicone?

The silicone isn't curing on the contacting faces, making a horrible gooey mess. The resin I'm using is Elegoo Grey.

Doesn't have the problem when recasting a metal or plastic part so it's made me think it's the resin.

I've also tried painting the printed part in citadel paint. Then covering it in turtlewax. Still no luck.

Any suggestions I'm welcome to.

Yeah it won’t work, you need the other type of silicone or like an Air blanket spray

Luke Palmer
2020-03-21 20:00:06

Damo Cramp What's the other type of silicone?

Damo Cramp
2020-03-21 20:22:44

Luke Palmer sorry was typing quickly, I meant cure type. I believe you need a tin cure silicone rather than a platinum one, or it could be the reverse, its been a few years sorry

Luke Palmer
2020-03-21 20:40:13

Damo Cramp Ah I see. So I've currently got a two part which you mix equally. So is the other type a two part but with a small quantity Catalyst like this one? https://www.mbfg.co.uk/QL2468.html......

Damo Cramp
2020-03-21 20:42:30

Yeah pretty much, I always get confused as to which to use for UV Resin moulds, its either Tin Cure or Platinum but I haven't done it in a couple of years im afraid.

What's the best way to add resin to the tank during a print. Never had to yet, but I might have to on my next print. Is there a way to pause?

翻譯年糕

Jason Goldsmith
2020-03-21 20:04:47

Yes, there is a pause button on the touch screen when it's printing. Pause and top up if you need to. Done it before, no impact on the print.

Scott Pavlich
2020-03-21 20:05:58

I just add it as soon as the light goes off...you have about 6 sec between to dump some in but you can use the pause button as well

Brandon Geiter
2020-03-21 20:06:06

Pour gently on the sloped build plate while stationary.

Brandon Geiter
2020-03-21 20:06:34

What I do anyway

罗西晟

Don't forget, that the resin in the VAT during printing will most likely have a higher temperature than the one in your bottle, and when you add from the bottle the temperature in the VAT will drop and you will see that as a line on your print.

Dan Andersson
2020-03-22 01:39:49

The line comes from pausing your print. If you just pour the resin in, it is not a problem.

罗西晟
2020-03-22 01:41:15

Dan Andersson Odd, I have paused several prints and never saw a line... only the ones I paused to add resin had a line, usually where I added resin.

Then again, my environment is ~20C, temperature in bottle ~19 to 21C and in the VAT its at ~30C (checked with FLIR)

Dan Andersson
2020-03-22 03:58:34

Strange. I get the line every time i pause. Regardless if i fill or not

Jason Goldsmith
2020-03-22 04:55:17

I've not had the line problem either when pausing a print. My printer is outside under cover, must of my printing had been in summer where temperature rarely drops below 20°c. Maybe that plays a part.

Hey there. Some time ago I saw a post about the compatibility between chitu versions and firmware versions, but can't seem to find it. Would someone be so kind to direct me there?

Meh, the screws can be (very) stuck. As long as you don't strip them you are fine.

Nathan Madche

Bottle cap method works great. Don't worry to much about tuning it just tighten the bolts one spin at a time alternating screws kind of like putting on a tire if that helps

Ciao a tutti.

grazie a tutti.

Also, since machine by machine and resin by resin varies, print a small test object like the ameralabs town and tweak accordingly until perfection.
