Quick question, what is the best resolution setting with the photon. I'm using chitubox on the standard photon set up. But wonder if the resolution can be tweaked for better fine details?

Hey y'all! New owner here. I've tried a number of prints so far, with unsuccessful but similar results each time. I'm getting the same result each time - print seems to be getting stuck to the FEP. I've got a print starting now with a 100s bottom exposure time, I'm hoping that will work. But is there something I'm missing here?

Thanks for your help in advance. Learning how to use this printer has been equal parts exciting/frustrating!

Hey guys! I was looking at modding the photon that I have. The issue is that the add-on board for wireless seemed to be sold out but also only available for the upgraded Photon. Is there a way I can find out what Photon I have? (Eg. Photon or Photon Upgraded?) Thanks!

Got my photon set up and leveled everything. There was no resin included, despite what i have seen online so i ordered some. Test print 1 = failed and i learned all about the differences in settings for the different color/brands of resin.

So, i use the google doc and use the setting for grey Anycubic resin. Starts printing and its actually going. Everything looks great. Check back a few hours later and this happened. It snapped at the connection to the base. Any thoughts on how to fix this?

The current setting is:

layer thickness: .05mm

Normal exposure time : 14

off time : 1

Bottom Exposure: 100

Bottom layers : 6

ok i need some help how to improve detail, i change resolution and lowered exposure. my rings come out ok put not what im looking for, where the supports are the detail is lost,do i print them on edge or vertical, horizontal ? i have some that came out well so im going to cast in silver see how they come out

After making this adjustment by polishing the ball against the piston and the lock plate, I have made about 30 prints without having to adjust the building plate.
Picture before and after polishing, then you can see the difference on plant surface.
before the adjustment, I had to adjust the building plate after each print.

Don't know what everyone has under and in their printer workstations. I've mostly seen trays and had trays everywhere myself. I saw a video where Uncle Jessy had a custom silicone mat and I figured there had to be something similar out there. Enter the very large, very cheap silicone baking mats. I ordered one to try and it's so so much better than the trays I had before. I now have them under my 2 photons and cleaning station. Just wipe clean with IPA and a shop towel or after all the work is done shine a UV flood light and simply pick up and pooled resin. Such a quality of life upgrade, I'd thought I'd share.

hi all, having an issue with my photon, iv just releveld the bed, but when i click Z equals home button, then rehome it it hasnt saved in the new postition i set it to, and goes back to the old original position leaving a huge gap between the LCD and the build plate. its only just started doing this... any ideas?
