Hey guys and happy Christmas, I'm having a really hard time deciding between the epax x1 and photon. My main factor atm seems to be finding an epax in the UK. Any thoughts or help with this would be great.

What am I doing wrong? I'm getting what I'm starting to call the "ghost raft". Just a shadow of the raft stuck to the FEP, and nothing on the build plate.

Regular Photon, using Anycubic Black resin and Flint Read Leveling Method. Light supports manually (not auto) generated and sliced in Chitubox. Other settings shown in second photo.

This is the second failure just like this. Previously I used an exposure time of 10 seconds, and bumped it to 12 this time. Is this caused by overexposure? Should I not use a raft at all?

has anyone else played around with lower temp exposure?

my "print room" is probably in the 50f's this means here are the things I have been noticing..

#1 prints have less detail... (makes sense because of the higher viscosity of the resin)

#2 there is a thin layer of resin adhering to the fep. right where the print is being done. it also is not as rigid/firm when I try to pop it off the fep.

#3 prints cure tacky. Mind you, I might be overdue to clean my IPA but it seems consistent with the low temp prints.

So with that in mind... Home users.. how do you warm your resin?

my plan is a hot water bath for the bottle and running a heater in the print room to get the temp up.

what are your thoughts?

ps 20-25c is 60-75f

Hello!
Can anyone identify why I'm getting this tearing effect in my prints. I've made a number of baby yodas as christmas ornaments so I'm used to making them but these outcomes have gotten random. It seems to happen in areas that don't need supports
.1 layer height for speed, so maybe I need to ramp up the exposure a bit? I believe it's 8 seconds for elegoo grey and about 14 for the epegoo clear.
I recently changed out my fep and releveled. 1st print turned out perfect but getting variations here

Photon s does not beep when the print is finished like photon does. Am I missing a setting to turn this on or is it not possible? The finish beep was so helpful.

My first print. While not entirely successful, I’m pretty darned impressed by the part that did work. I think I know where I went wrong — too small and too thin base, not enough supports, and a too short exposure time, both at the base and the model itself — so I’ll run it again on Saturday.

So the other day I changed the FEP on my vat. I finished a print over night and when I looked at it this morning there are blisters in the FEP. By blisters I mean bulged FEP not air bubbles.

I watched a YouTube video from 3D Print Farm on changing the FEP. His sheet was .1 thick, while mine is .15. I tuned my FEP using a sound frequency app similar to what was used in the video. He had a iPhone, while I have a droid so the same app wasn't available to me. I tuned my FEP to just under 333 khz just like in the video, I got mine to 328 khz. Thinking with the thicker FEP this would be a good idea. Now I am not sure because of the blisters.

Can anyone help me with giving me the correct frequency that I should be tuning to with the thicker FEP sheet.
