Found a crack in the glass for my LCD today. Still seems to print fine. How worried do I need to be about this?

Assuming it will eventually need to be replaced, is this correct?

Otherwise, links to better are appreciated. Search bar sent me all over the place :/

On ladies and gents, just pulled a print out and noticed holes. Ran print without plate. Are these dark areas dead pixels, or resin between the lcd and glass

I am having no luck at all with my Photon. I have had this machine for a year, no issues. Suddenly in the middle of a print I had an error. Fan would no longer turn on. I had read that I needed to flash the firmware. So I DL the latest version 4.2.19 and start up the machine with the files copied to the root. I get a series of beeps, and then print the 1-fpga29_P29_104.bin file. System info now shows V4.2.9.3_LCD/1440x2560 /F2.9, I slice ANY file and go to print and I get this garbage printing out. Nothing like what I selected (and the only file on the USB drive). Steps I have taken: Run the factory reset gcode. Reflashed to 4.2.19. Re-sliced a simple file. Same result. Cleaned glass under the vat, replaced the FEP (which was perfectly clear), zeroed the plate. Run the test with known good settings...I am at a total loss here.

Phrozen Sonic Mini is .....

Just crazy unbelievable. The led’s are about 1.5 inches below the bubble glass, so it “throws” the light to the lcd. Their 95% uniform light is 100% correct. Mono chrome lcd cures the resin to at least 3x the strength as the photon s does, and at half the cure time. And this 3x strength is the same thru the entire area of the build plate.
Build plate is dead flat. Resin pools on top but I made a drip hanger tool.
Downside is the 67um vs 47um resolution is more noticeable then I thought it would be.
Can’t wait for a higher resolution monochrome printer, too much of an improvement.

Stupid question of the day folks. Please someone tell me why there is a ball joint on the print plate? Why is it there?

It looks like the #1 complaint from users is about the crazy effort that can go into leveling these devices.

When I tighten this joint during leveling I can see the right of the plate lift a micron or two.

The second most discussed mod is one to remove this ball joint.

Even the S has a balljoint!!!

Please help out a simple Photon classic user. I cannot find this answer anywhere.

Does classic Photon work with Epax X1 Firmware Version 4.2.23 without issues? Vinicius Silva , did you installed that Firmware on one of your classic Photons? I am interested if the Epax X1 fw 4.2.23 will work in combination with Black UI Mod on classic Photon. https://epax3d.com/pages/firmware 翻譯年糕

I broken the reinforced glass on my lcd screen. Is there any solution to replace the glass alone or I have to purchase the entire lcd screen?

I just want to be sure about something, I have seen a lot of stls for cookie cutters, while ressin is not food safe to the degree that you should not make a glass, if it is properly cleaned and cured, it should be just fine to use ressin printed cookie cutters, right?

EDIT: Seems I was wrong, I'll just uyse my i3 for that instead since PLA is food safe. I'll keep the post open for now, but please dont just post things like "no", it has been done, but feel free if you have more details or reasons for yes or no .
