LET'S TALK LCD SCREENS!

So, I'm looking at either a photon (NOT the S) or an elegoo mars. For me in Hungary, the photon is slightly cheaper to get, all things considered.

HOWEVER, I have been led to understand that the print quality of these two is near identical, although the Mars has a more powerful screen, so cures each layer faster, meaning things print faster! This sounds great to me!

But...I guess it also means the screen needs more frequent replacing? If so, I'd take the photon.

P.S: I'd use it for 40K/tabletop RPG minis, so if you wanna show off such items that you've done for me to drool all over, please feel free!

Just received the photon s, z moves ok and LCD shows the rectangle light but it doesn't detect the included USB at all -file list is empty even though the red light on the stick comes on. I'm trying to print the included test file PHOTONS.photons My pc can read it fine. Did anyone else have this issue and manage to fix it? Also tried other FAT32 drives no luck..

Anycubic friends, I need to summon your powers once again. I have this print and for some reason, I have got this diagonal difference where in 1/2 is perfect and the other half isn't. What's strange is that this is diagonal to the print orientation so it doesn't look like z wobble, what could this be? Some weird LCD problem?
P.S. I know my supports on weren't as good I am improving that, my question concerns the rough side.

So recently I have been getting nothing but failed prints. The piece comes out but there's always gunk stuck to the part as well as a substantial amount of cured resin at the bottom of the vat. I always clean the vat and platform thoroughly after each print and always level properly. Iv updated the machine's firmware last night, did a test print, and still got similar bad results. I currently adjusted the exposure time settings on the slicer, which is anycubics btw and currently test printing a calibration cube. If the print fails, I don't know what else to do, maybe buy a new LCD screen since perhaps the one I have is damaged?

I posted this over in the Hero resin community group earlier but forgot to share it here! Some tiny X-Wing fighters, courtesy of maker "Astrofossil" over on Thingiverse. Overall length is about one and seven-eighths inches, or ~47mm. This model is insanely detailed for its size! Astrofossil has some great models from a few different properties/franchises to choose from, definitely worth a look if you haven't seen their stuff before!

Printed with HERO gray resin, 0.05mm layers.

This was my first print aside from the test one that came with the machine...I didn’t use auto-support....actually placed each one individually to make sure none of them bonded with the models...so as a beginner this had the potential to fail catastrophically....also, the print bed was out of level from the previous cleaning . AND, I forgot to tighten the screws that hold the bathtub down to the LCD screen, so the first layer pulled it up and dropped it! Despite all those factors, this print came out great. The fingers on the protrectrons are amazing.
