Hello
First time using a resin printer and i'm very excited by the possibilities :D .

I however have struggled with my photon for awhile, just got it to do its first completed print im happy with. So happy! Was getting just empty vats before this so very happy. However it took me about 5 minutes with a metal scrapper to remove my model from the build plate, I had to really put my back into it.
Is it supposed to be this hard to remove? Or is my buildplate too close to the bed?

Hi, just a quick question, particularly those in Australia, what is your resin of choice? Ive seen a lot of people using Elegoo resin, however I have yet to see a source for it within Australia that isn't through Amazon.

So, I picked up the new Phrozen Sonic Mini. I gotta say, Im super super impressed. Cut a 6.5 hour print to a 2.5 hour print. Its more than a game changer. Part of the success of the sonic is the Monochromatic screen.
I know this is a newer concept for resin printing but I wonder if there is any option for our Photons to receive this type of screen. Seems that a screen swap is easy enough, and a firmware update could totally improve the printers.

That being said, if this never takes place. Chances are, my two photons are going to find new homes in place of the Sonic. Any thoughts?

Hi there. Another new user with probably a basic problem. I’m using Chitubox and being conservative on my early layers, but my rafts aren’t sticking to the build plate. They seem to just drop off. Currently using Elegoo Grey resin.

So I just got my Photon s. And I'm curious on the printing process. Can you print overnight and come back hours later to clean up the model and cure it. Will the resin be okay. Or do I need to jump on top of it as soon as it finishes. Just trying to get an idea of the time frames. And kind of trying to work printing into my schedule. Like it would be awesome if I could start a print before I go to work and come back 10 to 12 hours later and it be ready for me.

Question for those use ultrasonic cleaner and mean green/simple green. decided to finally give it a try. I used mean green/simple green long ago, but found it be sucky. Trying with ultrasonic cleaner is way better. Just general question. Do any of you heat it? How long do you normally leave it going? Been using 3 mins heated to 40c with Elegoo abs-like. Noticing some of prints even after drying still has some 'shinny' spots. Should be I leaving it longer? Also do you empty it and use uv light to cure resin in the cleaner?

So I just had a bad print and checked the vat to see if anything cured to it and I saw this weird thing, a small area is very noticeably different in color as if something separated in it. Did something get into it? This may be a dumb question but can resin go bad?
