Hello there... after few problems with this machine I found the setting to work every time.
Only use the photon slicer in a OG photon

Resin Anycubic Skin

Layers 0.03 at 6s, 8 bottom layer at 90, 4.5 time off

I make custom parts for 1/12 scale.. this machine offers amazing details an print quality ( I had a bad experience with after sale service and shipping, but machine itself it's great)

Here some pictures of the result.. all are cleaning and painting, not additional post printing process

Hello everybody,

I printed the photon-resin-calibration test (20 um, 2-20), but I can't find the sweetspot, probably due to my bad English, I don't understand the explanations well.

Practical case: on anycubic aqua-blue resin; According to you, what is the sweetspot and how do you find this result (that I will not ask you again in 2 days)?

I think the column 8, 16 sec, but it was overcooked on my test :(

thanks in advance

Hey folks, question. I get a good amount of hardened (rubbery) resin at the edges of my vat, where the FEP meets the aluminum. Just like a mm or two. I can “scrape” it out with the plastic spatula but the little bits of chaff are annoying to clean up as they stick to the FEP. Why does this happen and how might I keep it from happening? Thank you all in advance. (Sorry no pics, I’m printing right now).

I've browsed I can't find anything to help.
Got a new photon the original one, printed the test cube, all came out good. Did a second print of a model part, all came out good.
Since then 5 prints failed, I'm just left with a thin layer of resin on the fep and nothing on the build plate.
I'm using mesh mixer for modelling exporting it as an STL and using the slicer that came on the USB for supports and slicing.

I've not changed any of the slicer settings so it's still
0.05 layer thickness
8 normal exposure time
1 off time
50 bottom exposure time
8 bottom layers

Am I just missing something stupid?

Did you guys try the Montana Primer "Plastic"?
How does it perform on the resin compared to the "Universal" version?

Ok people, hit me!
Calibrated 3 days ago and done several print since then, without any problems. Resin shaken and stirred. FEP looks clean and dandy. Temp 24+ in the printing enclosure.

EDIT: checked the calibration/levelling, and it was close to perfect. Cleaned the vat thoroughly, and set the bottom layers to 8x95seconds, up from 6x75. Started print a humongous tree and a couple of other figures, just to do a stress test... so far it seems that all of it sticks to the BP, but still 8 hours left ;)

I bought an original Photon just before Christmas and am reaching out for some help with how to read the Resin Exposure test strips.

I printed 2 resin exposure test strips using the Anycubic AquaBlue, one @ 50u (0.05mm I think) and the other @20u, I'm trying to understand the results and compare them to the resins spreadsheet in the Photonsters page.

When reading the resin exposure instructions it says to start from the top & find the first well formed circle, then move to the bottom and find the last visible circle (in any column I guess) and then move right until the circle clogs and then move left 1 & thats the sweet spot, so looking at the 50u test strip would I be correct in saying the top 1st well formed circle is in col. 4 and the best bottom visible is in Col 8 but then more left to Col 6 (or maybe 5) where its kinda not clogged? so that makes the sweet spot say 5 for a 10sec exposure? - but the 20u, which I gather is a thinner layer, seems to have a sweet spot of 7 for a 14sec. exposure but I would have thought it would be less than the 50u as its a thinner layer and thus would need a lesser exposure? Or am I reading the test strips wrong?
And as a further part to that, I tried to print a tank which has some supports with a couple of holes through it (circled in red), when I look at the support the holes do not appear to go al the way through, could this be due to overexposure (14sec @ .02 - Anycubic AquaBlu

TIA for any help.

Weird thing going on.
Twice now when I try to print large prints (this one x:50.48 y:85.96 z:102) the print doesn't fail...
Nothing happens at all ?‍♀️ nothing stuck to the fep, no floating resin, nothing.

Sliced with chitubox with my photon settings for the build plate. Same USB drive I've been using for awhile.
