So these are my prints today.
All "good" on first try. But I am curious about the finger print like lines on them and the ashyness to them. Is that normal for the lines on them or is that something with layering?
Is the ashyness the way I am curing or washing?

My settings are:
Bottom layer 8
Exposure off 5.0
Bottom exposure 60.0
Normal exposure 7.0
Rise height 15.0
Rise speed 7.0
Retract speed 3.0

I wash with Isopropyl Alcohol 91% in a tube for about 5-10 seconds. Maybe wash a second time again. Then cure with fingernail uv lamp for a few minutes.
Is any of that too much or too little?

Ok so I finally got to use my sonic mini today and did 2 prints just fine. Then printed some other stuff to compare to prints from the photon s I have. I love it since it’s so much faster.

However, somehow resin splashed on the case/lid, has 2 small cracks on the case/lid, and the vat is cracked in a few places. I did a quick google search for a metal vat replacement. No luck.

I was seriously ready to return the photon to Amazon I have 5 days left and then I was going to buy another sonic.

Any suggestions to remedy this? I really want this one. But I print constantly and can’t replace plastic vats every day.

EDIT: haha I’m stupid that wasn’t splashed resin it dawned on me last night taking the lid off how the resin got there. I set it upside down and there was a bit of resin on the rim from refilling the vat during a print.
The company stated where the cracks are us due to the screws and their injection molding. Some other explanations about the cracks also which totally makes sense to me. I did order the metal vat from their website it was just over 52.00 with shipping in USD. I’ll make a new post regarding the company here gouging people.

Switched to Grey when the green ran out. Everything seemed to be going okay. Until I noticed that a couple of the prints were pulled off the supports. And this Caster has some weird layering going on I'm curious if maybe all of these issues are not having my exposure correct? I saw the spreadsheet but I'm curious because I've read that the photon S needs shorter times than the original photon. Is there anyone using the anycubic Grey that would be kind enough to share this settings they're having for successful print so I can try again? Or maybe someone can tell me that I did something else wrong

Printed a clear sphere with a hollow skull in it. Then put a little red dye inside. Experimenting...will have to be clear coated to keep clear.

Hi. I'm hoping someone can help me. I bought an anycubic photon 2 weeks ago. I have tried 3 - 4 prints per day and not managed to get a single one to work. I have watched many YouTube videos and still no success. The best I get is the first layer stuck to the film. Never once stuck to the build plate.

I have tried:

Different types of resin

Different starting hights

Tightened and loosened fep film

Changed fep film

Shook the bottle

Different room temperatures

Build plate re levelling

6 different models

Extended cure times for first 8 layers

Oh and my build plate came already sanded

Has anyone successfully printed this little octopus and had the legs remain flexible?

My kids were excited to see what the printer could do so I had them choose something to print and they chose this. I added light supports across the bottom of the octopus, set it at an angle, printed it out, and...it sort of worked. But the legs are stiff and I broke one trying to flex it.

I think it may be my exposure time is a bit too high and the support is bonding to both sides of the hinge, but I am just curious if anyone has had success with it.

I have an OG Photon. My resin is Elegoo std grey with 10% siraya tenacious flex mixed in.

Hello all,
I'm a little frustrated already, due to the fact that i cant find proper Settings to print with this resin.
Right now i try it with 30sec. exposure time and heated up my room to 25° already.
Has anybody ever used it and can tell me how to handle it?

Hello, i've done a exposure finder on the anycubic clear resin. Results i've encountered is little bit different from the Excel file. What settings should i use.

Upper one is 50 microns and below one is 100microns.
