Anycubic Photon Printer Owners 造訪社團 » EX

So i have had a fume exhaust with a suction fan and a big active carbon filter container attached to my printer for a while since i am using the printer in my home. The fumes this way were barely noticeable using elegoo resin which is already less stinky then other resins BUT yesterday for whatever reason again there was a much more noticeable smell.

So now i have decided that i will find an enclosure and put the printer in that which will hopefully eliminate all the remaining leakage possibilities out of the printer for the fumes which i assume is causing the smell.

Since i do not have too much space to play around with it i looked at IKEA where i can find a suitable sized plastic container which according to the site seals airtight. I would cut out a part for the exhaust pipe to the active carbon filter and seal up the area between the box and the pipe to keep the airtight aspect of the box intact.

Anyone who has done something similar can share their experiences? Does it work to fully eliminate any remaining resin fume leakage? Anything to consider when doing an airtight enclosure like this?

Cheers

Did anyone find a good way to create threads in Siraya Blue? I think using threaded inserts would be best vs. Tapping threads. Anyone has experience / guideliness / type of inerts that can be used best?

Thanks for thinking and happy printing!

Please stop using the spreadsheet exposure settings and learn to use the exposure test appropriate for your machine.

The spreadsheet figures vary wildly and have caused a lot of issues of late. The figures quoted probably worked for the person who posted them but they are highly specific!

Use the appropriate exposure test to calculate your specific exposure requirements for your machine in your specific location. If you get exposure related failures or conditions change run the test again to see if it's still right.

Blindly copying someone else's settings is like asking how hard they push the accelerator in their car, copying that and expecting to go the same speed. It can be a vauge guide only at best.

Edit: This is the the original Photon:
https://github.com/…/photon-resin-cal…/blob/master/README.md

If you have an S or other model you are going to have to do a bit of work yourself to find the exposure test ;)

I didn't expect I would, but I've found myself in need of a "tough" resin.

I need it to be strong, with a bit of flex and good impact resistance.

Doing some research I've found folks having good results with mixes of Siraya Blu and Tenacious, as well as the toughness resin from iFun. I don't really want to drop the $$$ for both Blu and Tenacious and would prefer a ready to go bottle similar to iFun. Colors could be cool, but don't matter much.

Something capable of what is in this video, or similar would be ideal. (video is 50/50 blu/tenacious IIRC)

What do you recommend??? Pics/vids of it in action is a plus!

Thanks!

My last 2 prints have holes running vertically through the entire print of varying sizes. Any idea what might cause this? If you look closely at the image, you can see them. They are NOT drain holes that I put in. They were from separate flash drives. I use prusa for auto supports and added lots and lots of extra supports to this one. I use chitubox to slice. Temperature is fine. No visible scarring on the FEP.

I customized 80mm Hades figure, minotaur shield and printed him. Need to sculpt something to wear for him though or should I leave him as he is now? I hope he will get along pretty well with his brother Zeus. Zues is not 3D printed. He is from Alexandros miniature. C and C are welcome.

Hi guys,

I got no print success since I started using the anycubic black.

With anycubic green I had no problems.

Already configured according to Google spreedsheet, but also did not work.

Also I tried on my own configurations, but without success. All complete with some defect or missing edges.

Initially, the side where the supports are "fat" and the corners are rounded, as if the resin accumulated during work had also been cured. It decreases the exposure time, it didn't work.

Bad resin?

I looked here in the group, but I didn't find anything relevant that would give me a solution.

Anyone using anycubic black who can give me a settings that works?

Anycubic Photon

Firmware version: 4.2.19.3

Slicer: Chitubox 1.6.3 (same problem in previous versions).

Resin: Anycubic Black (7/11 2020)

Slicer settings for black resin: Google Spreedsheet and others (all failed).

Good quality USB pen drive (same problem using anycubic pen drive)

Hey guys, just got my printer yesterday, I was wondering what causes the fraying. I printed some things that came out crisp yesterday and today. This is my first fail. One of my minis failed to print during this as well but the rest of the things and minis I printed in this batch came out fine. I was thinking it might be because I printed 3 different batches in a row without filtering through the resin

I'll try again and post updates later
Exposure time 8 sec
.05mm layers
70 sec bottom layer exposure
