Resin printing is not inherently messy. It all comes down to prep work and being organized.

I literally do not get it when people are saying they switch from the hobby because of mess and impracticality. Or fdm guys coming in here whining about it and asking "why even bother?"

In the drawer beneath the printer I have 2 sealed tubs of ipa. A box of gloves.A plate I line the stuff up on as a workspace, a rag for cleanup and all the tools in a small storage box. Then a rubbish bin to the side

As soon as the print finishes curing I've already put the resin stuff away and prepped the airbrush.

My point is. put a bit of initial effort into organizing and creating space for everything and it it won't be a chore to work with. Prep work always pays off

It is possible that two Photon Printer has differend power od UV light?

I wonder, coz iv'e got two different prints (one perfect and 2nd always fail) from the same slicing file...

Resin, Settings, Firmware, Room temperature Usb Flash Drive the same... Why one printer fail and 2nd do job perfectly?

Prints are flat on Baseplate. New printer always split prints. Spliting is always between bottom layers (60s) and mine layers (10s) or dont stuck to the baseplate correctly, usualy left and right sides dont stick properly (sides are lift up).

I try releveling 6 times and im sure its ok. Any idea?

Alright, I have no idea how to print this best.
This is the most brain dead go to, but I'm certain I'll get layer lines all along the hood.

Thoughts ?‍♀️
Size is about where I need it.
Model already hollow.

When it rains it pours I guess?

Just put in a new LCD and new FEP for my Original Photon and I'm getting cured resin on the FEP after a print, the weirdest part is that these seem to have zero relation to what I'm actually printing, they just show up strewn across the FEP as seen in the first pic. I would deal with this to some degree if my prints were also coming out like hot blurry garbage as per the second pic with the Good version of the right and blurry garbage on the left.

Running 4.2.18 and currently doing a "dry run" print to see if I can spot the exposure for these weird "islands" but they're so damn thin they must be o ly a few layers if that. The print quality might be linked to the new FEP, gonna drain the vat and recheck the tuning but still seems a little extreme.

Any ideas?

Hi, Guys, sorry to ask, but is there anyone here who doesn't have separated room for 3d resin printing, especially if there's no closed room to be free from uv light from external source (sun etc)? What do you do about this? Will covering the printer with something black or with a big space box do the trick?

Also about the resin fume, would it by installing internal printer exhaust and direct it to the outside window do take care this problem?

So my last print ended up like this. No idea why, of course, so if people have any ideas, please let me know. The print before was fine, but it wasn't printing on that part of the plate, so who knows. It's odd that the raft bit stuck, but then the supports just... faded? Dunno.

Help? I've been printing on my photon for about six months. Never seen a failure even remotely like this. No idea what has happened. I'd show you what the original model looked like, but it bears no resemblance whatsoever to this Mountain of Madness.
