? few issues with my latest print.
I assumed the red bit would just be chopped off but the entire stand didn’t print.
Also venom has half come off the plate but some how the rest of him came out fine (apart from the gash where I ran out of resin ? ) thankfully my putty skills are pretty good so I’ll just fill it

Dear all,

I'm new to the group, set up and levelled my Photon, did the first test print off the provided USB stick: R_E_R_F.pws.

It worked well, thankfully. BUT... (and I assume this has been asked dozens of times already) the pieces won't pop off with the provided plastic spatula.

I'm assuming I need to go and buy a metal spatula so I can get them off the build plate? And it's OK to leave them overnight and I'll go and buy the spatula tomorrow morning?

So anybody do pewter casting with silicone molds? I know I got the right silicone for this, but what am I doing wrong? I figured the first one would have some bubbles since I didn't heat cure the mold first. Figured Id let the pewter do it for me. 2nd cast came out better but now the mold is toast. Got all tacky and details are gone. I did wait close to the 24 hour cure time, even left it on the radiator overnight, gets pretty hot there. I'm guessing give it a longer cure and bake the mold to fully cure? Maybe a different silicone, I'm using smooth-on mold Max 60.

Comparing Anycubic Gray vs. Elegoo Gray Standard. I'm thinking I like Anycubic Gray more. The two figures on the left (the evil wizard and the guy with two swords) were printed with Elegoo Gray Standard. The two figures on the right (the elf archer and the elf wizard) were printed in Anycubic Gray. I did resin tests for both resins on Photon S, printed at 170% of standard mini size.

- Anycubic Gray: 0.03, 5.25s exposure, 8 layers, 60s bottom layers. Printed at 70 degrees. The elf archer and wizard were done in these settings. My resin test had looked best at 6s.

- Elegoo Gray Standard: The evil wizard was done at 0.03, 10s exposure, 8 layers, 80 bottom layers. The guy with two swords was done at 0.03, 8s exposure, 8 layers, 80 bottom layers. Both printed at 70 degrees. They both seem over-exposed, yet my resin test looked best at 10s.

For Elegoo, should I go down to 7s or 6s? Or do you think it's not going to get crisper than this? The test falls apart at 3s.

Trying to convince a mate to go halves on a photon, does anyone print 1/35 and 1/48 scale WW2 vehicle replicas and what do you have to do to fit them (if anything) into the build volume
