Sister of Battle done with Elegoo Grey (3 base layers at 60, all other layers at 8, height .05mm). I cheated and used an FDM printer for the base , ?

Check the connection first, but it may be time to replace the screen entirely.

Same as above. I had this issue and photon sent me a new screen since mine was only a month old when this happened

Yamamoto Tifa Thank you, and dont you know how much is guarantee given. I mean is it still possible to replace it for free. I bought it last summer

Good luck! Contact either Photon directly or the person or company that you bought it through. I bought mine through Amazon and they helped me connect with photon. I meant it was a little difficult to reach out to them myself because there is a languag e barrier. The emails were all in English but I'm not sure if all of my intent made it through because some of their responses were off topic or seem to ignore something I already said. Eventually I was able to get a free screen from them

Abror Orifkhonov I just checked and the screen is warrantied for 3 months. It's considered a consumable, because they do wear out over time.

Kendra Chalmers
2020-03-29 04:24:36

Mine does that from time to time. Usually I turn mine on without the usb plugged in. Test the screen then plug the USB in and continues to work fine - I'm guessing mine is going to need a replacement soon too though. That trick likely won't work for too much longer

Blown away by the detail this thing can do this is my first print after doing test print. Anycubic grey .02 layer height 12 sec exposure 90sec base layer. Does anyone know if it is possible to get higher detail with this resin? Shout out to Alexei Popovici - Bestiarum Miniatures

Dial down the exposure

Sandro Pateishvili

Try 10 sec, experiment with lower if it ain't perfect

Brent Mayhew
2020-03-28 19:41:48

Sandro Pateishvili would 9 sec be too much of a jump from 12?

Yea I'll give that a go cheers

2020-03-28 19:51:50

I generally go down in 0.5 seconds when trying to balance quality vs the whole think dropping off from supports not printing effectively. You could test print this head a few times over as safe test as wont take too long

Andy Johnny Young
2020-03-28 19:51:57

Brent Mayhew download the Ameralabs test print and print at different exposures to gain an insight into best settings

2020-03-28 20:09:12

Whoaaa....that’s way overexposed and ya probably got nowhere near the detail you should...8s is awesome for .04 layers....you’re doing .02(which really isn’t helping but that’s another story)

Daniel McCarthy
2020-03-28 20:32:42

looks awesome but 12 seconds sounds like you're over exposing it. Off the top of my head i'd say somewhere between 4 - 6 should be about right but i don't have a whole lot of experience with anycubic grey.

Neil Castle
2020-03-29 01:15:43

My friend you can get way better detail. I use 4 seconds for .02 with opaque grey.

I am starting to hate this problem! Sliced in Chitubox, checked it, looked all good. A few hours into printing, all of a sudden the compleet screen is white!? Firmware is up to date, i use a new usb stick. How can i soulve this?

Try a different file. If not try a different slicer

Stuart Finesilver
2020-03-28 19:35:45

Maybe a corrupt file I always check slice layer by layer...

David Cornell
2020-03-28 19:38:33

Reformat your USB

Jurjen de Quelerij
2020-03-28 19:39:08

Stuart Finesilver i did that also

Jurjen de Quelerij
2020-03-28 19:39:28

David Cornell i will try. Thanks

Casey Frank
2020-03-28 19:48:04

Did u have models hanging off the build plate somewhere in the slicer? I got this when I had a duplicate sitting out of sight in the background off the build plate

Casey Frank
2020-03-28 19:48:49

Also, does the print time seem unreasonably longer than normal?

Jurjen de Quelerij
2020-03-28 21:01:12

Casey Frank no, all was clear and only inserted one piece to print. Was a print of 12 hours. The sliced model looked good, i checked the layers

Jurjen de Quelerij
2020-03-28 21:02:36

Casey Frank well i noticed a different between the time that chitubox gave (9+ hours), and the Photon S itself (12+ hours)

Wes Shawshank Crain
2020-03-28 22:42:44

Can the current firmware support chitubox?

Casey Frank
2020-03-28 23:46:22

Can u recall this problem start to happen after u started doing something different? Like did it start right after u got new usb?

Jurjen de Quelerij
2020-03-29 01:38:42

Casey Frank no, 26% of the print time. And why i realy dont know. I have printed last days different items and did have that problem a few times. The sliced model i checked.

Casey Frank
2020-03-29 01:41:28

Jurjen de Quelerij so u have dif usb, have u used dif slicer?

Jurjen de Quelerij
2020-03-29 01:42:24

Casey Frank no all the same slicer amd the same usb

Casey Frank
2020-03-29 01:42:33

And I see u mentioned u check every layer, it may really just be a firmware problem

Casey Frank
2020-03-29 01:42:39

Oh

Casey Frank
2020-03-29 01:42:55

Try dif usb

Jurjen de Quelerij
2020-03-29 01:43:12

It is the latest firmware version

Jurjen de Quelerij
2020-03-29 01:43:23

Casey Frank yes i will

Casey Frank
2020-03-29 01:43:29

Does ur usb have connection issues?

Jurjen de Quelerij
2020-03-29 01:43:53

Casey Frank no not that i know of

Casey Frank
2020-03-29 01:44:12

The white usb can with my photon s started having connection issues

Casey Frank
2020-03-29 01:45:09

I think cheapest solution first, try dif slicer and if it still shows, try reformat usb or buying new one

Jurjen de Quelerij
2020-03-29 01:45:58

Casey Frank i know that the white one is bad so i bought a new one.

Jurjen de Quelerij
2020-03-29 01:46:27

I will reformat it first. What is a good other slicer?

Casey Frank
2020-03-29 01:47:09

Keep us updated if it still shows

Casey Frank
2020-03-29 01:47:41

Jurjen de Quelerij I really like photon workshop that comes with it

Jurjen de Quelerij
2020-03-29 02:35:35

Casey Frank i will do so and i will also try it with Workshop.

Anyone have experience with rub'n buff paint on the flexible resin prints? I was wondering if the paint would just end up cracking.

翻譯年糕

Samael Burton
2020-03-28 17:05:06

I have used it on really thin foam before that would move and bend. The rub and buff didn't crack or anything but I also had the smallest amount on them as well.

I wanted to make this post to share/ ask about what i just found on ebay. I found that you could buy a 5L bottle of 99.9% ipa for 10 usd, and well I was shocked (also shocked to see the price of the 32ounce bottles, price gouging wtf) . So I was curious has anyone else bought these ones on ebay and was it as advertised? For some reason I find it hard to believe that you can buy 5L for just 10 bucks lol, especially with the price gouging going on now

2020-03-28 16:27:07

I bought this off eBay, £10 for 5 litres. The day after I bought it the bad feedback started showing up. Needless to say it didn’t arrive so Ebay was informed. Item was removed from Ebay, followed not long after by the seller. Got my refund.

Laura Horne
2020-03-28 16:28:46

Its probably a scam, I brought some a few weeks ago then Ebay sent me a message saying they were removing the item as it was suspicious. Still haven't received it and I'm having to open a case as the user won't respond

Travis Lewis
2020-03-28 16:30:28

Honestly it does make the most sense its a scam, I bought it before making the post lol. I was kinda expecting it but I figured 10 bucks was a small enough gamble to make lol

Alex Alameda
2020-03-28 16:44:35

5 Litres should be closer to $25 on a normal day. Total scam. I bet if you check the item location it is USA: USA.

Travis Lewis
2020-03-28 16:46:28

I really should have checked here before buying it... lol oh well. Biggest reason I went to try it was the person had a 100% rating on ebay

Nipuna Gunarathne

I was buying 99 IPA locally at around that price before corona hit.

Joe McCluskey

Tried to buy ipa from eBay last week. , £11for 5 litres.
Didn’t arrive and I got a refund.

Scott Pavlich
2020-03-28 18:15:12

I just looked at some of those listings: the sellers have either were low feedback numbers, meaning they haven’t been selling many items, or they have no recent feedback so the probably are using old accounts to scam people. I always encourage people to report those items to eBay so they can investigate, but unfortunately they pop up as fast as eBay takes them down
